The Rock
Hoath Corner, Chiddingstone Hoath, EdenbridgeWe stopped in with our two dogs for a bite to eat. What a place! The food was delicious, we recommend the sticky toffee pudding and the spiced crumble!! They were unreal. The staff were lovely and have created a very relaxing ambience. If we are back in the area, we will be coming back.

The Kentish Horse
Cow Lane, Markbeech, EdenbridgeQuite a find. A pub that is busy midweek which has excellent service and a nicely priced lunch menu which isn't trying to be pretentious. They seem to do the sort of pub food people want to eat. The sandwiches were good and not over facing or overpriced. The bar had a smattering of chatty regulars and it was what I thing a local pub should be like.
We enjoyed our lunch here and will be back.

Greyhound Hever Restaurant and Rooms
Uckfield Lane, EdenbridgeThis isn't a pub any more, they've changed it to a smart restaurant and B&B. We went for dinner and I had the salmon and prawn linguine and sticky toffee pudding. Both absolutely superb - this is not really gastropub food, it's more of a fancy restaurant vibe, and the food was delicious. Not an unreasonable price at all given the high quality. The restaurant has a quiet vibe and is beautifully decorated, but it's definitely not casual dining and it's not at all geared towards young children. The beer selection was small but perfectly good; I think it's far more focussed on wine. Good place for a special occasion. Service was really polite and friendly and attentive. Can highly recommend.

The Wheatsheaf
Hever Rd, Bough Beech, EdenbridgeThis is a charming pub with plenty of choice on the menu. It was busy on Sunday & we were glad we booked a table. The food was nicely presented & delicious. We had the ham hock pie & the mushrooms linguine, both were very tasty. I wish I'd taken a photo, but we couldn't wait to tuck in & simply forgot.
On looking around at the other tables, it all looked amazing.
Parking: Huge car park in front
Kid-friendliness: Kids & dogs invited

King Henry Ⅷ
Hever Rd, Hever, EdenbridgeBeautiful Tudor pub in picturesque setting right next to Hever Castle. Staff were very helpful and the Sunday lunch was delicious. As well as the cosy pub they also have a pretty beer garden next to a duck pond. Truly delightful place definitely worth a visit.

The Fountain Inn
30 High St, Cowden, EdenbridgeFantastic local pub with amazing food and great service.
Ended up visiting as we were staying in the village and it was the only place serving food nearby. Turns out we ran into a goldmine, surrounded by locals we immediately felt a part of the community. Looking at the menu options were minimal but had everything you could want (for somewhere I imagine doesn’t get too crowded i understand why having many items would be a bad business decision). Me and my friend both ordered the 10oz burgers with fries and a side of onion rings. IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!! possibly the best burger I’d ever eaten (and I’ve had some fancy burgers in my life). For a local pub in a small village it blew us away serving food that outperforms even the big dogs of the food industry.
Excellent experience and a great way to end our week long holiday.

Longhouse Malaysian Fusion Restaurant Ltd
33 High St, EdenbridgePerhaps one should not be surprised to find high quality Malaysian food in Kent but I was! We didn’t take photos of the items but greatly enjoyed the king prawns with sambal sauce, Malaysian fried noodles with chicken and prawns, Thai Tom Yum soup with prawn and egg fried rice. Everything was packed securely and ready for quick pickup. Prices very reasonable and service friendly and courteous. As a traveler in town to visit Hever Castle I can only hope to return someday ???

Istanbul Kebab

The Waterside Bar, Restaurant & Terrace
Hever Rd, How Green, EdenbridgeEarlier this year we had a disappointing lunch here. But I am delighted to say that things have changed !! We just enjoyed a delicious steak sandwich and chicken salad. The steak was perfectly cooked and tender with caramelised onions and relish - delicious! The chicken salad was piled high and also very good. Also enjoyed a lovely leek and potato soup at the halfway house

Costa Coffee
64 High St, EdenbridgeA Costa in a very old pub. Food & drink are at the usual standards, but they've somehow managed to make the place feel stark and sterile, instead of cosy.

31 High St, EdenbridgeThis place is amazing! I had the Lamb Ghurka Revenge and i was full of flavour without being too hot. Tom Bell Traditional Fish & Chips
84 High St, EdenbridgeWe went in for dinner. The fish and chips were freshly cooked and were really good, the service was good and to be honest, I was quite surprised at the price, I've paid a lot more for a takeaway at the other chip shop in town, it wasn't nearly as good as Tom Bells and I'd expect to pay a lot more to eat in.

Guthrie Pavilion
Hever Rd, Hever, EdenbridgeGood breakfast. May I suggest not putting the butter on top of the hot toast which just turns it to oil. It was unbearably hot. Some fans would have been useful. I asked for black pepper and didn't get any. But overall it was a good breakfast and a peasant experience.
