Appley Rise, Rydefirst time to the iow and no clue where to eat. chose The Duck and what a fabulous choice. the food was excellent. beautifully cooked, incredibly tasty and very generous. very well priced. well worth the money. staff were friendly, polite,efficient and made the evening a very pleasant one. if there were a bridge to the island The Duck would definitely be a regular destination.

23-24 High St, Rydehave been here countless times. i think it's in just the right place on the highstreet, and depending on the time of year, they have a wide variety of drinks available. the only reason they lose a star is because i find Costa to be quite overpriced for what it is.

I had a weirdo following me all day and the boys here were really kind to me. I am still waiting for my food but one of the guys here will walk me to my car once my food is ready.
I feel safe.
Men are amazing and men can really help woman.

They have lovely food and also they are very kind.
I am going to report this weirdo to the police that was following me.

Brading Rd, RydeStaff are always so friendly & helpful! Such a variety of yummy cakes & drinks available. This Costa coffee is inside the Tesco Extra so very handy if you want to stop by for a drink or bite before or after your shopping :D

14 Esplanade, RydeJust had our first weekend trip to the isle of wight for the garlic festival and stayed in ryde with our dogs. Had an evening walk to the beach with them and stopped off at this fish & chip place. It was extremely busy compared to the one next door to it, always a good sign on which is better. Bit of a wait on food but we didnt mind. The fish was delicious and crispy and chips were well cooked, not greasy at all. Reasonably priced aswell. We would gladly come back again if we are ever back in ryde

Esplanade, RydeHad a lovely meal here with the family. The reception and waiting staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was great and reasonably priced. My daughter especially enjoyed her steak which was cooked to perfection. We left having had a lovely evening here. Will definitely be back.

41-42 High St, RydeWhat a lovely fish and chip shop. We ate in the restaurant and was served within minutes. Food was cooked to order and it did not disappoint. Staff are very attentive and polite. Looking forward to coming back on our next trip back to the IOW.
Parking: We parked down the road and took a minute or 2 to walk. Did not need to pay and it was around 5.30pm.

2 Esplanade, RydeMy first stop on the Isle of Wight. Absolutely cracking place. The cheapest beer I had all trip. The staff were excellent easy to chat to and very helpful. The decor (apart from the Halloween stuff) is pretty straight forward- my only little whinge would be there are a few large tables rather than lots of little ones. On the good side it makes people sit together and chat, who knows who you will meet? The Guinness was excellent

2 Monkton St, RydeDelicious take away today. Service pleasant and fairly speedy even though it was a busy bank holiday evening - all cooked to order. Good value for portions. Fish not greasy at all. A bit more variety in the fridge for drinks would be great but plenty of choice in the shop next door so not a deal breaker. We’ll be back definitely.

Wootton Bridge, RydeWhat a great place! We stayed at Woodside Bay Holiday Park and San this Restaurant at the Street. Went there twice. For Breakfast and for Dinner and it was so great! Bath meals were so delicous and extraordinary.

Main Road, Havenstreet, RydeWe LOVE the White Hart, we have a neurodivergent crew in tow, one of whom will only eat chips when she is out after contracting food poisoning at a restaurant a couple of years ago. The family feel, the extra care and trust that the owners and staff have shown her, saw her order an actual dish of the menu last night!!! They do not bat an eye lid when she turns up in full medieval dress or has a bit of a “moment”. Eating out has become a real joy here at the White Hart, the amazing atmosphere and the customer service aside - the food is FANTASTIC!
