Yesterday, I went for a brunch with my daughter, who'd told me about how lovely the owners were here, and having walked past so many times on my travels I'm so glad we did. The whole experience was very enjoyable. The couple who run it are so warm and welcoming and attentive to your needs are just very friendly, natural people that help you feel so comfortable. The food was delicious and of generous portions. I was upset not to have been able to enjoy any more of their culinary delights as they had plenty of choice. I would definitely recommend if you enjoy a relaxing, home from home atmosphere and good service and food. ?????

My husband and I dropped in one Sunday afternoon to try to find a table for lunch. The staff kindly squeezed us in and we were very glad they did! I had a slow roasted pork belly with crackling and all the trimmings. The meat was super tasty and so tender. I loved the crackling and Yorkshire pudding. The greens were tender and the carrots were lovely. I was given extra gravy as well as apple sauce. All were delicious. My husband had a short rib 'burger' which he had expected to be a form of beefburger but what he got was much much nicer. It was a very tender cut of beef in a bun, accompanied by some of the best chips he has ever tasted!
The service was impeccable. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
I know the pub is in new ownership and I think they will do really well with this format.

An outstanding pub and restaurant. I visited on a week-day night and I think I was lucky to get a table. The service was really friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. I had an amazing Tortellini as a starter and Thai inspired salmon and stir-fry veg as a main. I was very impressed by the food, service and atmosphere. A real treat!

Don’t always review when I make an order via Uber. But honestly excellent flavoursome chicken. Maybe the best I’ve had in Watford area so far. Stumbled upon this beautiful acquaintance gem of a place. Never knew it was there until I tasted the food. Absolutely delicious food and those servers put an icing on the cake. I came here when I was younger and loved their breakfast and lunch however recently went for dinner, and enjoyed that even more!
Should have come here more often for dinner.

Starters were great value for money, loved the mozzarella garlic pizza bread and the crispy tempura king prawns, they were really delicious.

I had the spaghetti carbonara for my main and it was massive, definitely worth coming for this. Would be even better if they used guanciale to add a little more saltiness, nevertheless it still was amazing.
Goats cheese pizza was really nice and creamy and dough was incredibly light and soft, the balsamic caramelised onions added a really nice sweet taste combined with the slightly bitter rocket.

Staff there were amazing, not sure who our server was but he did an amazing job, complete allrounder from drinks to serving to helping out in the kitchen.

Overall would definitely recommend coming here and I will be visiting more often.
