We have been coming here for years, as it is such a relaxing place to visit. The menu changes now and again, the staff (and ownership) change too, but we continue to enjoy the cafe. The setting is lovely too. Yesterday I had the small squash dish, which was absolutely delicious. They know how to do flavours here. This place surprises and often exceeds our expectations. The quality of the food is excellent, and whilst not a hugely extensive menu still appears to have something for everyone. (I prefer non-meat options.) The service is well above average too. Serving and clearing is done in an efficient and timely way (unlike many other places!) and contributes to a pleasant experience all round. Nowhere is “cheap” these days, but this achieves good VFM.
