Broadway, Letchworth Garden CityA pleasant stay at a charming hotel with a quirky lift, run by attentive and friendly staffRooms: The building and rooms are dated, but we expected that from an old building. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was a good size, and all facilities were in good working order. There is a quirky small lift/elevator to get your luggage to your room, which was quite fun.Walkability: Just a Short 5 mins from the town and train station, its in a perfect spot.Food & drinks: The food was delicious, and there was plenty of variation for all tastes. Sunday lunch was very good, and Breakfast was buffet-style on weekends and from a separate menu on weekdays.

22 The Wynd, Letchworth Garden CityI love having this brewery such a short walk away. The staff are so nice, let you taste anything you like from the menu before you commit to it, the place is so cute and homely, and the cider menu is varied and has something for everyone. My favourite place for a pint in LGC :)

Premier Inn Letchworth Garden City hotel
Station Rd, Letchworth Garden CityHaven't stayed here as I live in the area and though it might suprise you to look at me (cough cough), I'm a fan of a fry up. Premier Inn do the best one in Letchworth.Eggs freshly cooked to order, juices, pastries and coffees. Even better, my daughter eats for free so it's fantastic value.Top tip: the mushrooms are the best I've ever had.

8 Arena Parade, Letchworth Garden CityThis is the second time we’ve visited this restaurant, we came down from The Wirral, to visit my daughter, her partner and our two grandsons, my daughter very last minute decided to rescue my wife and I from a curry in Spoons, she quite spontaneously decided we deserved a better, a curry in the The Indian Royal, god love her. We started by ordering poppadoms and dips, lovely fresh crispy, no complaints, then we ordered the starters and mains, I had Mixed Kebabs, followed by Lamb Tikka Jalfrezy with Mushroom Pilau Rice, my wife had Mixed Kebabs and Chicken Tandoori with Salad and Rice, my daughter had a Veggie starter, and a Tarka Daal, asked if we wanted drinks, we ordered a house red, I was pleasantly surprised when a bottle of Casillero del Diablo, Merlot appeared, turned out to be very nice choice. At the end of the meal, we all commented on how nice our food had been, also the whole front of house experience. I can honestly say it’s definitely the best curry I’ve had in a very long time and certainly the best in Letchworth. When we had finished our meal, we sat and chatted for a good while and no one bothered us, which I also appreciated. Thanks to everyone at The Indian Royal, for a really nice evening, you certainly are a fine dining restaurant.

The Rose Gardens, Cambridge Rd, HitchinLove having a mooch around now and then have some lovely jewellery for pressies and gifts ideas that are a bit different and I highly recommend ending up in the cafe staff are lovely and a drink with a slice of heaven key lime pie only ever had lemon meringue first time I tried it but this was delicous. Chicken shish was nicely cooked, doner meat was tasty. Chips nice and crispy. Salad was also good. Chilli sauce seemed to be missing the chilli. Also got a free can of drink thrown in. Portion size was good and very reasonably priced. Bloke behind the counter wasn't the friendliest of people. ?.
