Lovely staff, delicious food, great portions and even the sauces on the side of the starter plate were all made in house and full of flavour. Will be coming back very soon. Outstanding.

The man who served us was more than capable and an excellent front of house server, I cannot recommend him more highly. I had the chocolate bomb thing for dessert and it was indulgent, decadent and beautiful. We had fish of the day and the pie for our mains and they were exquisite too. The pub is clean and comfortable, with low beams and a lovely traditional pub feel. There is an extensive garden area out the back too which looks like it will be great when the summer returns.
I highly recommend a visit to this pub, thank you for a lovely experience.

I always worry about eating out due to my nut allergy but the moment we got sat down at a table and our server Holly came over, she was super sweet brought over a iPad to check my allergy and offered to help any way she could. Amazing service and super polite and kind. I ate my food which was great and felt comfortable in the knowledge there was not nuts in any of it. Very please and big thank you to Holly.

Tables quite close together in the Restaurant area but think that's just so they can fit everyone in because they seemed to be fully booked when we visited. Service was prompt and attentive but not at all pushy. Good home cooked unpretentious food

But after speaking with the very friendly and accommodating staff, the cook remade my main with the old recipe at no extra charge. Got in early so was quiet but lovely music playing and the staff were great.
Started filling up as we finished never felt pressured to finish well done worth a visit.

She came to my car, which was parked a good 5/7 minute walk away, very apologetic, and handed me my missing order. Food is always hot, fresh tasting and pretty good value compared to some other local fast food chicken places.
I tend to order the giant fillet burger which is pretty big to the point where most of it is hanging out of the bun which I have no problem with at all!
They do a good selection of sides including popcorn chicken, onion rings, spicy rice etc. Aside from your typical fried chicken, the peri peri range is a really good. Much better value for money and in my opinion but better tasting than that big popular peri chicken chain of restaurants.
I have ordered the spicy mix box in the past but found it was drowning in spicy sauce which some people will probably like but was a bit over bearing for me!
Not visited the actual restaurant in person so can’t comment on anything in that respect but the order is usually correct - only thing that can sometimes happen is you order one particular drink and receive something else, for example we quite often order Diet Coke and receive Pepsi max or Diet Pepsi which I’m not a fan of but probably one of the downsides of ordering through Uber as these changes if something is out of stock is hard to communicate without calling. Minor issue.
Kid-friendliness: They do good chicken tenders etc without sauce or spice if required.

Really shows the great costumer service, glad they are my local service.

The atmosphere is light and busy. The frequent comings and goings of the takeaway couriers through the middle of the small restaurant is a bit of a drawback for me. It's a good indicator of how nice the food is though!

Lovely staff, delicious food, great portions and even the sauces on the side of the starter plate were all made in house and full of flavour. Will be coming back very soon. Outstanding.

The man who served us was more than capable and an excellent front of house server, I cannot recommend him more highly. I had the chocolate bomb thing for dessert and it was indulgent, decadent and beautiful. We had fish of the day and the pie for our mains and they were exquisite too. The pub is clean and comfortable, with low beams and a lovely traditional pub feel. There is an extensive garden area out the back too which looks like it will be great when the summer returns.
I highly recommend a visit to this pub, thank you for a lovely experience.

Food - good sizes with high quality ingredients. Ambience/setting is beautiful. A restaurant that has something for everyone in a peaceful part of Hemel Hempstead.

Tables quite close together in the Restaurant area but think that's just so they can fit everyone in because they seemed to be fully booked when we visited. Service was prompt and attentive but not at all pushy. Good home cooked unpretentious food

But after speaking with the very friendly and accommodating staff, the cook remade my main with the old recipe at no extra charge. A few items had also been removed from the menu but at request were still available. Also can’t recommend the honey bhajis more.

Everything was very tasty and clearly made with quality ingredients and care. Service was excellent. Friendly, efficient and professional. Restaurant itself was a good standard. Would suggest to have more ambient lighting to improve atmosphere. Highly recommended and regarded.
