Village Tandoori
12 High St, Abbots LangleyFirst time getting a takeaway from here as normally go to another curry house in the village that was recommended. I must say food came in good time and was very hot and plentiful and also got a free dish for purchasing £18 an over. We are very definitely going back, and I rang the man at the Village Tandoori to tell him how we enjoyed our meal

Dalling & Co. Delicatessen
20 High St, Kings LangleyWith more than an hour to spare while in Kings Langley High Street, I popped into Dalling Deli. I ordered a hot chocolate and asked if they had a gluten free cake. Charlotte behind the counter offered a choice of three. Impressive! I chose the lemon drizzle which was delicious. The hot chocolate, first and last image, speaks for itself. It was past 5.30pm and clearing up time so I took my tray through to the adjoining wine shop/bar. I believe it stays open until 9pm. Several people were drinking wine and there was a relaxed, happy atmosphere. I didn't get the name of the young man behind the bar, but he was courteous and helpful to people who came to buy or sit. Charming staff, lovely ambience and a broad range of great products. Definately worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood. I'll certainly be back.

Aroma Kitchen
1, Katherine Place, College Rd, Abbots LangleyFrom the moment we walked in the door, the hospitality was amazing.
Good portion sizes, very tasty, and food was piping hot.
I was staying at a local hotel and in the past I was reluctant to attend because of not knowing the area... But honestly... I wish I'd have come to this restaurant sooner..
Do yourselves a favour and book in here.
Parking: The restaurant resides within a shopping precinct with the likes of tesco and other various businesses, so plenty of parking

The Compasses
95 Tibbs Hill Rd, Abbots LangleyI called in on a whim several months ago to watch the football and have my favourite beer.
Ended up staying for the Quiz Night, invited by the friendly staff, and now I regularly enter.
Cancelled my Sky Sports and I now watch the footy here and enjoy the tasty grub with a pint or three ?
It's not exactly my local but it's well worth the 2 mile walk to get there every time.
Very friendly and accommodating.
I've been made very welcome indeed by the landlords and their staff even though my team is "the other lot"! ?
Just the sort of pub you want to go to. Cheers!

The Windmill
The Common, Chipperfield, Kings LangleyThe Windmill (Windies) has changed hands, so I thought I would take my dog (an expert on real pubs), to see how things are. Dave (the Landlord for 50 years) is obviously missed but new Licensee Sue, appears to be a Lady with safe hands and social skills. The pub is friendly and a boon to the local area, as we have lost so many decent public houses over the years. Sue generously allowed my dog in and even gave biscuits to her. I wish her and her staff exceedingly good business, and will support them, and look forward to the restaurant opening.

The Royal Oak
Kitters Green, Abbots LangleyFantastic place to go with friends and family, lovely friendly atmosphere and food is brilliant. Will definitely be back! The staff couldn't do enough for us and was really nice to see the new owners who have taken over coming out and speaking to customers and making sure everything was okay. The portion sizes were very generous as were the drinks. I would highly recommend
Parking: There is parking around the area if you are happy to walk. There are some spaces outside the pub but we parked just up the road and walked down. This isn't the biggest issue as the pub itself is so lovely not being able to park right on the doorstep shouldn't stop you visiting.
Kid-friendliness: lots of kids around playing on the green or having something to eat at the pub. Was really lovely
