Gurkha's Inn

We went for lunch on a weekday so it's not crowded. The food tastes great with amazing spices, and the appetiser comes in a portion that's bigger than expected. Very friendly staff. Will definitely go again.

O'Neill'S Winchester

Great night out loved it! Can’t believe how great Joe was behind the bar, a real gent! Pete was also fantastic. The drinks came quick and strong can’t wait to visit again.

Palm Pan Asia Restaurant

Just ordered a meal from pan palm Asia and they had missed 1 dish, we called them to let them know and the missing dish was raced out to us in 10 minutes with massive apologies. This is 10/10 service from a company who obviously care about their customers. Well done PPA we will 100% be ordering again as we love your company values and the food was absolutely fantastic.

Turtle Bay Winchester

My Caribbean family and I visited Turtle Bay, Winchester earlier today (Good Friday). The atmosphere was electric, it was very warm, lively and filled with lots of laughter .The restaurant is very spacious and the staff is very accommodating (my family had the perfect table for us which included a high chair for my son). Our server, Greta, was very attentive, friendly and really made our experience that much more enjoyable.Food - the curry goat was 10/10!We’ll be back for sure! Thanks Turtle Bay Winchester.

The Plough Itchen Abbas

We had a lovely lunch here. We hadn't booked but we were found a table. Service attentive but not over bearing. Food was very good. I took the recommended duck and it didn't disappoint. A little gem.

The Royal Oak

The oldest pub in Britain? Well I had to go to see it for myself! Very relaxing traditional pub with food options. Downstairs is where you can find more seating, a section of the old original wall behind perspex, and original wooden beams. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

The Chesil Rectory

As if the experience of dining in a 1450s building wasn't enough, this pub serves a beautiful curated menu and is managed by a fabulous team that will make you feel comfortable and relaxed straightaway. A must of you are in Winchester.

Lucky Lychee at The Green Man Winchester

I was at a private party. The back room was a little austere, but the food!!! Delicious, in sensible portions, and accessible to those standing with a drink in one hand.

Porterhouse Steakhouse

Fantastic steak house in Winchester,we were welcome with a smile and our waiter were really friendly and look after us very well. Steak were juicy and done right with their tasty sauce. Highly recomended,will come back here again if we ever come back to Winchester.

The Kitchen@ Winchester Golf Academy

Good quality and tasty breakfast. A bit expensive but it is golf academy and usually this kind of places are charge more. Nice atmosphere. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free car park but looks it is a little bit small. We were struggled to park there 10:00 morning. They not selling alcohol till 11:00

Pitcher & Piano Winchester

Called in for drinks.Although it was very quiet at that time, the barman was brilliant. What a pleasure to have a smile and lovely coffee. Thank you. Makes a massive difference.

The Ship Inn

Lovely village pub in the middle of nowhere, but conveniently 10 mins from Marwell Zoo. Tasty food presented well and piping hot. Only a handful of customers on a Friday lunchtime. Would definitely eat there again.

The William Walker, Winchester

We booked a table for 9 people for Mothers day. On our arrival the mum's were given a bag with a gift instide which was such a lovely touch.The Staff were friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I had the Roast Chicken which was absolutely delicious. The rest of our party thoroughly enjoyed their food too.We would recommend the food at the William Walker to others and look forward to returning to eat again.

Three Joes Sourdough Pizza

Absolutely delicious pizzas. We ordered Mushroom, pepperoni and Margherita pizzas as well cheesy potatoes and we were so pleased. Staff was very friendly, especially Eli who was really lovely and very kind to us. We will definitely come back.Ps. They do blue light discount and student discount!

The Ivy Winchester Brasserie

Date night and the place was superbly run. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the atmosphere so much. Will be back for the superb choice of wine and of course the Ivy chocolate bomb.

The Mayfly, Stockbridge

My food was good the only problem was it was rather expensive for a roast dinner maybe peraps you could do a roast without all the meat and make sure you do a roast for people that have alergys and no tomatos in the nut roast a seperate

Fabulous pub and hotel. 15 mins from train station. Busy both nights I was there. Quiz and food. Hotel Room was lovely, Clean and a fridge! Always a nice touch. Staff friendly. Felt comfortable as a solo traveller in the area and sat out for a drink.

The Avenue

We had a great evening at The Avenue. We went for the 6 course tasting menu, with the wine flight, which whilst not cheap at £180 per person was fantastic. As always, the service in the restaurant was amazing with each course and each wine carefully explained. The pace was just right and there was a nice buzz in what is obviously quite a small dining room. The food was exemplary, lovely presentation and fabulous tastes. Our only constructive feedback is that service in the bar was very slow, we arrived an hour early, on what was a beautiful sunny evening, to have drinks before dinner. In that hour, we managed a single drink and it was necessary for me to go to the bar to ask for a drinks list. It was similar post dinner, where we had a long wait for service. That didn't dampen what was a lovely evening, just not quite 'on it' like they normally are.

The White Horse Otterbourne

Tilly, our waitress, was lovely and very attentive. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for food was in my opinion the salt and pepper calamari needed more salt - and I NEVER ever do that - but perversely the ox cheek dish needed less salt.Wheelchair accessibility: There are only one step into the restaurant area but there are lots of tables in the bar area on one level.

The Willow Tree

As a lone traveller staying in a local Air B&B I wondered down to this pub to get out of the house. I must say Peter, Beth and Chloe could not have been more welcoming or friendlier. Realising I was a female staying local, they were fantastic at keeping me company between their duties! Thank you for making my lonely stay in Winchester, less lonely! Id recommend a visit to two to this establishment. Thank you Peter, Beth and Chloe. The next time I am down in the area, I will definitely come back to your pub! xx

From arriving to checking out all staff were very helpful and friendly Arrived early not expecting to check in but the receptionist checked and room was ready Not only that we were given a room upgrade, much appreciated as I was celebrating my birthday later on in the day made our way to the bar cosy friendly atmosphere made even more so by Evangelos Breakfast was enjoyable with attentive friendly staff. The truth is, the parking lot is very quiet, the food is not bad, but the strange thing is that I slept and the next day I found the refrigerator doors open, thank God the truck was empty, otherwise a 5 star

I recently made a pit stop at Shell northbound Sutton Scotney. Grabbed some fuel, coffee, and snacks. The sight of Costa machines and a variety of hot and cold snacks was a relief. Facilities were solid, and the staff were friendly. However, the time it took the pump to fill my tank was a bit longer than expected – I could've practically read through a Harry Potter novel during that wait.

Popham Services station is a small service station located on the westbound side of the A303 near Popham, Hampshire. It is the first service station to be encountered on the A303 if you are travelling west from the M3 and it is the partner site of Micheldever Services which is located on the eastbound side. There is also wild bean cafe branch here and it was a decent cup of coffee, with a limited range of products. Prices are open to interpretation depending on if your half full or half empty kinder person

Winchester Royal Hotel

Didn’t get a chance to try the food but heard it was very nice. The rooms are a bit old but adds to the ambience. Decent for a 2-3 day walking trip around the city.

My usual fuel stop. Daytime staff are friendly and stocks are good. One bad thing is the insane oil prices. 2 litres of Shell Helix 5W30 is over £40. I can buy 5 litres of Mobil 1 5W30for less than £40.

Projects Store & Kitchen

We came for a dinner with my husband as it was our wedding anniversary. We booked the table online which was easy to do. Althoug the restaurant was busy the service was fast, the meals vere very tasty and the portions were big enough to leave bit of space for a yummy desert. Ewelina was realy kind, nothing was too much for her to do and we even got a little fortune cookie at the end of the dinner. Lovely place to eat and I would recomend to anybody who is looking for a nice place to eat.

The Handlebar Cafe

Love this place. We go regularly after walking St. Catherine's Hill. The staff are always friendly and sometimes we have a good giggle with them! The coffee is good and the size generous. My husband loves the cakes!

The best pasties I've had are from West Cornwall Pasty co which has 5star pasties. So pleased we came across here. Hard to chose which oned but my favourite is cheese and oninon. The quality is lovely, full of flavour.

Flat Whites Coffee

Ignore the Starbucks, this palace has beautiful coffee, beautiful cakes and beautiful humans. This will be my coffee of choice here from now on.P.S. Starbucks has never been!

NAAFI Cafe

We only had a coffee which was lovely. The staff were friendly and prices reasonable. It's a fun walk to the toilets, you'll have to go to find out why.

Pumpkin Cafe

This is the only place I know that sells coconut water. So convenient if this is your choice of drink, you're travelling and you're thirsty. Not sure why it is called pumpkin cafe though I couldn't see any of the popular oversized squash based vegetable on sale so maybe stick to supermarkets if that is what you were thinking they sold. Others on this site complain about the staff personally I found the lady serving delightful and I prefer her to being served by some AI Avatar who is attractive but unable to feel true emotion....and has blue skin. To offer a balanced view it is cheaper if you invest in a flask or buy your snacks before your journey in a supermarket but if you can't be bothered to be organised then expext to pay over the odds for flavoured hot water and don't Complain on here about it..... honestly this is not the right platform to inspire genuine change.

The Bakers Arms

The only pub I have found in Winchester with the exception of Wetherspoons that is very reasonably priced. Nice cosy atmosphere, friendly staff. Very good experience all round. No reason to go anywhere else.

Greggs

Visited here for breakfast when we stayed over on the weekend for the Christmas market. The staff were friendly and store has a range of items available. We got the steak bake, chicken bake and sausage rolls. Both the bakes were cold and we didn't really enjoy it - we went here because we wanted something hot to eat while strolling though the market on a crisp winter morning. The drinks on the other hand were nice and hot, and tasted delicious.

Republic of Pizza and Desserts (Winchester)

when i came in i was greeted by the amazing staff who were kind and polite. i took a seat and one of them came and took my order they had a range of food options, drinks, deserts, and icecreams. The speed of there service was fast and i got my food very quickly. everything 10/10 excellent food and staff definitely recommend!!

Domino's Pizza - Winchester

I got my food deliver at about 2:30am they arrived pretty quickly. The food was amazing but the highlight of it was the driver he is the long bearded guy, he was very sweet and very kind massive thank you to him I hope he gets treated well since he made my night. ?

They've done a good job, it looks and is much nicer than it used to be. Only had drinks in the evening here but the outside area is massive and has heaters at the tables

The food at Thai subway was fresh and tasty, and the service was prompt and friendly. I appreciate the cleanliness of the restaurant as well. Overall, a positive experience!

Pizza Pan

First time trying Pizza Pan as avoiding both Dominoes and Papa Johns due to boycotting them. Really good pizza and will definitely not be going back to the other chains especially with their unethical practices.

Great Donner meat and chips. Great chilli sauce. If you let them know they're ok a rush for the train they'll try their hardest to get your food done quick. 10/10
