49 High St, LyndhurstWe come to Peggy Mays from Botley just for the breakfast, it’s our second visit and had another amazing breakfast. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Very welcoming, great service and Fantastic food. What more can anyone ask on a Sunday morning.

Romsey Rd, LyndhurstHaving been a guest at the White Rabbit for some months it truly feels like a home away from home. Carl and his team, Bunny, Muriel, Dan, Hollie, Katherine, Ellie and Jay have always gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome, despite being part of the furniture. The experience is further enhanced by the fantastic food Head Chef Damo and his team, Tom and Lauren provide. Happily catering to allergy requirements and often popping out from back of house to say hello, which is a nice touch. Although I’ve never met them personally, housekeepers Ella and Pru always make up the rooms to a high standard which is very reassuring. I literally love this place and will be very sad when my time here comes to an end. I think it’s a real gem and exceptional value for money. Definitely recommend.

The Greenwood Tree
65 High St, LyndhurstWent there for the flotted cream tea, however was told they had run out of the vegan flotted cream. We were given flora butter as an alternative which just wasn’t the same, and unfortunately we were still charged full price which did make me feel a bit cheated. The scone itself, and their house blend tea, was delicious.

Southampton Rd, LyndhurstDelicious food, great staff who are always ready to help. It's a very busy restaurant so book in advance but don't let that put you off. They are very experienced, orders taken and food delivered in a timely fashion. Always staff there to order a drink and it's always brought to you shortly after.

Renoufs Cheese and Wine Bar
23 High St, LyndhurstVisited for a celebration. Staff were very attentive and knowledgeable, the wine choices were perfect. Our server took her time to walk us through the ordering process and checked in on us several times.
We ordered the ultimate board and added a baked Camembert and partnered it with a ‘ballsy’ Rioja and smooth Riesling and it was all amazing. Wine flights were available to upgrade the experience.
Would be great to see the brand expand to more towns as a great alternative for a night out. I highly recommend a visit here for good food good drink and an amazing atmosphere.

Dolce Vita Italian Restaurant

The service was brilliant, couldn't ask for friendlier staff
The food is divine, the salmon tikka is one of the best things I have ever eaten. The mushroom rice is the best I have had, and I have had many! For mains, definitely try one of the chefs recommendations, very authentic and nice amount of heat!
Highly recommend this place to anyone, you won't be disappointed!

Sheds in the garden may need improving as they are downgrading the view of the pub from this perspective. Beer in the garden still tastes the same though. ?

We chose chicken crackling and satay, a beef penang, pad thai and jasmine rice. It was some of the best thai food we have experienced. Meat was tender and the aromatic and spicy flavours really complimented each other.
The decor was a little tired but I would thoroughly recommend a visit as we had great food which was reasonably priced.

31 Romsey Rd, LyndhurstWe stayed overnight in a lovely clean room with a pleasant shower room. Breakfast was included and delicious. The owners were welcoming. There are only a few rooms available and only 2 parking spaces.
Food & drinks: Lots of nearby restaurants for evening meal as it isn't offered by the hotel. Breakfast was very good.

The service was relaxed but very attentive, and the sommelier was superb, matching wines perfectly to our dishes.
Each dish was faultless, from the gnocchi to the veal, paired with a wonderful glass of pinot noir.
If we lived in the area we would eat here all the time!

18 High St, LyndhurstArriving very late at our hotel, we found no food available, we travelled into town and found this lovely restaurant. The lady who greeted us explained they were near to closing time too, but was more than happy to assure we had dinner. She seated us at a lovely table, talked about dishes and our food arrived super fast, piping hot and beautifully presented. It was incredibly delicious and I cannot thank her enough for being so welcoming and caring. If you visit the area, please go visit this wonderful restaurant.

71 High St, LyndhurstThis has to be the best pub in Lyndhurst by for. Starting with the location. Situated on the main Street and having a fantastic outdoor area. The inside of the pub is well maintained and has a great atmosphere. The staff were simply amazing, very friendly and welcoming and attentive. We sat outside and space was easy to find. The food was great. It was certainly home cooked and portion size was perfect. I would certainly recommend this pub and make every effort to go there first and foremost. first class A1.

26 High St, LyndhurstDrinks were lovely and coffee a very good quality, milkshake tasted fantastic! service was good, but food was mixed - was very excited to see croques on the menu but slightly disappointed that their idea of a croque is ham and cheese on toast with no sign of bechemel, however, all the breakfast meals were excellent and the croques were served with salad and chutney, would be happy to come back.

Afternoon Tea at Forest Lodge Hotel
Pikes Hill, Romsey Rd, LyndhurstWe had a lovely afternoon tea at Forest Lodge. Service was exceptional, and the food was great, especially the scones. We were offered more tea a couple times, and they did everything to cater for our dietary preferences despite not being warned of them beforehand. The hotel and restaurant are quite smart too. Would recommend if in the area.

33 High St, LyndhurstWe had only planned on popping in to Lyndhurst for a few minutes. However, we found this lovely shop. We were only wanting a teacoffee but once we saw the lovely cakes on offer we had to indulge. I am very disappointed that we do not live closer to Lyndhurst because we would certainly make this a weekly place to have a snack. The coffee was excellent. Served hot with a lovely biscuit on the side. My husband had a toasted tea cake and declared it to be the best he had eaten in years. I had a slice of their lovely Dorset apple cake. It was beyond good. I was extremely impressed. The gentleman who served us was very friendly and could not have done more for us. We would go out of our way to make sure we come here again.
