The portions are very filling and delicious. The risotto was amazing. Gena and Georgina are very kind and attentive. Everyone should definitely try it!

The Derby Inn
The Derby Inn, Bartley Heath, HookThis is my hideaway PUB. It's in an inconvenient location if you don't have a car, but this is my favorite PUB and I always stop by when I'm passing by. You can enjoy delicious food in a calm atmosphere without the clutter of Central London.

3 Hook Ln, Hook, Warsash, SouthamptonI went for lunch and was made to feel very welcome by all the staff.. I chose cheese sandwich and chips. The sandwich was very well filled and the bread fresh. The chips were plentiful and delicious, the side salad really nice. I had coffee to finish which was hot and gorgeous.
The environment is delightful. Quirky and rustic, fresh and clean with an abundance of fresh flowers. Thank you Nook and Cranny. I'll be back ?

Peppones Street Food
Colt Hill, Odiham, HookAmazing food and friendliness beyond expectations. My daughter has her fussy eating moments. Peppones made her feel like a princess. He was so nice, funny and convinced my daughter to try a quesadilla. She’s never eaten one before and I was worried she’d not like it. She loved it and I reckon it was all because of Peppones charm when making her dish. I’d definitely recommend eating at Peppones to everyone. Thanks from Australia.

The Chequers
Reading Rd, HookWe were so happy to find an open place on Sunday evening. The vibe was great and the staff friendly. It was pretty full and busy which is always a good sign. We had 2 courses each with a drink and coffee afterwards and spent abpu 35 Pounds each. It was worth every penny....the food was delicious, beautifully presented and a pretty good sized portion. I'd love to come back....

I have suggested that they should expand their vegetarian options by adding a vegi chicken fillet then they could do most of their extensive menu with a vegi option E.g. Vegi chicken strips with rice would be great.

Dogmersfield Park, Chalky Ln, HookWe are quite local to this hotel and it's a great go-to place for a great experience. The hotel has been decorated for Xmas beautifully and no expense has been spared. We had drinks in the bar, then went to the main restaurant. The service, wine and our meal was amazing and we have no complaints. I actually asked to speak to the restaurant manager as our server, Alex provided great service, conversation and additional treats. Cannot fault anything. I will agree with other reviews that there were a lot of children in the restaurant but not sure how this would distract from an amazing experience and warrant a poor overall score. Most children were well behaved and it makes the hotel a great place to be and a great atmosphere. In fairness, one would expect lots of children this close to Christmas. Please keep up the good work.

Best Hook Kebab
A30 London Rd, HookI've got to say with everything going on in the world right now these gentlemen are absolute Gems.
I'd driven 2 hours after a full day at work to come to my daughters aid.
Booked a hotel and went looking for food at just before 11pm.
Not knowing it was cash only, and only having card but offered to zap it over.
The gentlemen insisted I just ordered and had it on the house and if ever passing again to drop it off.
So much kindness.

White Hart Hotel
London Rd, HookMy wife and I stayed at the White Hart in Hook and had a rantastic visit. Warm, friendly, welcoming. Lovely pub, great vibe. Super accommodation. Yummy food. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Clare and Amy deserve special mention. We will return!!!!

Red Chilli Indian Takeaway
London Rd, HookI've been ordering from Red Chilli for the last year or so since I moved into Hook, and I've been impressed every time by the consistency and quality of my food every time. I've tried a few of their dishes now and as I've had a recent liking to it, I recommend the Chicken Shaslick, a nice grilled chicken with some vegetables. Deliveries are always promptly on time too which is a nice touch to have.

London Rd, HookWent there for a meal which was very good for the price. Staff friendly, quick & polite. However when the karaoke started we had a great night, until the DJ decided to spend half the night singing himself. Karaoke is meant for the clientele not for self indulgence. Fine if you got no singers, but not in this case. DJ did have a great voice, but it’s meant for customers enjoyment. That’s what the DJ is paid for.

The breakfasts were lovely - high quality produce in generous portions, served well on hot plates. It did take quite a long time for breakfast to arrive - they could probably turn the tables over much more quickly. But for Sunday brunch we weren't too bothered. It is quite noisy.

Northwarnborough Street, HookI am very grateful to the staff at this bar. My car blew out around here at night and all tire shops are closed. My English is poor and I can't communicate on the phone. The staff at this bar helped me book a hotel on the phone and wrote me the exact location of my flat tire in case I couldn't find it the next day. At the same time, she left her phone number, and if anything happens, I can contact her again! There was another lady in the bar who drove us to the hotel. They are so enthusiastic and helpful. I am really grateful for what they have done for me!

This is a small cafe on a 'smash-and-grab' rane from the M25. Food was OK and the location somewhat unfortunate - Hook is a very busy road route. All that aside, let's talk coffee.
What a great experience to be served an excellent Americano with a jug of hot water and a jug of cold milk. This means that I get a coffee that I am in control of. So much better then the 'take it-or-leave it' approach of the usual global-megacorp outlets.
They work hard to deliver an honest and rather up market cuppa. Hats off to them. Well done!

Innkeeper's Collection Hook
White Hart Hotel, London Rd, HookFriendly staff on reception. Lovely big room, sparkling clean and lovely towels provided and large TV. Only downside was no Aircon or fan. Otherwise it was a great hotel with some lovely original features.
