Heckfield Pl, HookThe 'Marle' is the flagship restaurant of the hotel 'Heckfield Place', which is picturesquely situated in the Hampshire countryside. You can sit comfortably inside or outside on the spacious terrace and be attentively looked after by the charming and well-rehearsed crew (sommelier!). Really everything we tried on our two visits tasted great - from the very fruity cocktail aperitif to the great wine recommendation to the creamy 'Brandy Alexander' or from the light starter ('Courgette tart with gruyère & fennel flowers'). the mercilessly delicious main course ('Lobster, farm tomatoes, cucumber and bisque aioli') to the classically composed dessert ('Chocolate pave with roasted cherries and cherry cream'). A totally fabulous restaurant that I will visit again on my next trip to England.?
