Restaurants in Brockenhurst

White Tails Restaurant
Sway Rd, BrockenhurstA very nice restaurant that also has a different, more varied menu than you would otherwise find. I would describe it as upscale gastronomy with good value for money. The ambience is very nice with puristic furnishings. Everything is very clean and the service leaves nothing to be desired. The food was very tasty.
However, we found it difficult to find the entrance. If we hadn't met people we could have asked, we probably wouldn't have been there. It is the same entrance as the one to the differently named accommodation. There should be a sign there.
Vegetarian options: We are not vegetarians but had a mushroom rice dish that tasted very good and you could optionally order fillet strips with it. I seem to remember there being more vegetarian options.

The Bakehouse
45 Brookley Rd, BrockenhurstGranary bread was lovely and the bacon and cheese pastry was described as the best ever eaten. Belgian bun was soft and much better than some tough ones. Staff very friendly and treated everyone as valued customers which many places don't. Would definitely visit again when in area and recommend to others

DYNASTY INDIAN
57-59 Brookley Rd, BrockenhurstI’ve visited this restaurant 3 times now and never disappointed with the food and service. The waiters are extremely friendly and tentative, it can be rather quiet in there so it sometimes lacks atmosphere.
Quite expensive, I had chicken tikka masala, pilau rice, saag-loo, one naan and one popadom. This came to £38 which I felt was a lot. And one thing I noticed in my last visit was they took away my popadom pickles and I witnessed them scrape them back into a new one for the next guest.

Huntsman of Brockenhurst
Lyndhurst Rd, BrockenhurstI decided to take my first trip to the New Forest with my 11 year old daughter. I looked at multiple hotels and places to stay and settled on The Hunstman. I didnt know what to expect, but from the moment I walked through the door, myself and my daughter were well looked after. This is a huge pub with lots of different areas, the resturant was very busy (always a good sign) and the staff were very friendly. I booked in for breakfast and dinner and I must say the breakfast facilities were second to none. Great to have a continental style breakfast, where you could help yourself to fresh juices, cereals and a range of patisseries . I opted for the english breakfast, the bacon and eggs were exceptional. The staff were friendly and attentive which was fantastic. In the evening we decided to go back, I had the burger and my daughter the had the pasta, we both left not only full but very happy with another fantastic meal. One of the best features of the pub is the skittle alley in the back bar, I have never played before but it was a fantastic experience for us both. I booked one of the rooms on the courtyard. The room was exactly what I wanted, well maintained and very clean. The bed was comfortable and nice to have a TV and radio in the room. The tea and coffee making facilities were an added bonus I cant compliment the staff enough, always going above and beyond and we wouldnt have felt more at home. Safe to say we will be going back to the New Forest and I know where we will be staying.

Le Blaireau
Lyndhurst Rd, BrockenhurstCharming restaurant with loads of character inside and out. You are temporarily transported to Paris inside and a stunning French garden outside. The food was beautiful and tasty - we had the salmon, caprese starter with locally grown tomatoes, and a veggie burger. Even the children’s chicken was fab. Definitely worth a stop.
Kid-friendliness: Children’s menu and high chairs despite it being a nice restaurant

Balmer Lawn Hotel & Saltus Spa | Brockenhurst | New Forest
Balmer Lawn Hotel, Lyndhurst Rd, BrockenhurstAnother wonderful wedding, amazing service. The canapés were fantastic. The food was unbelievable and the drappier champagne divine.
We did not stay here …it is very expensive mumbling of discontent from guests saying rooms dated and £10 discount for guests a joke

Monty's Inn
Monty's Inn, Palace Ln, Beaulieu, BrockenhurstVery quiet on a weekday lunchtime. Very dog friendly in the bar and restaurant, we chose the comfortable bar. The dog biscuits went down very well with our furry friend.
Flacks beers and Somerly cider were very nice.
Haddock and chips was possibly the finest fish I've had, truly crispy beer batter and a lovely piece of fish. The full Monty burger was very good too.

The Buttery Cafe/Tearoom
25 Brookley Rd, BrockenhurstOur first time visiting here and the area around it. Had seen some of the reviews previously and came in a little skeptical. However, we could not see what some of the previous reviews have been based on. The service was lovely and quite efficient as well, the food was incredible the hot sausage sandwich in particular was a highlight and it has a lively atmosphere especially on a Sunday afternoon. Would highly recommend coming here!
