Costa Coffee in Alton offers good coffee and a friendly staff who are willing to help. The furniture could use an update, but the prices for drinks are competitive with other coffee shops in the area. The selection of hot and cold drinks is impressive, with the coffee being the main focus. The food, particularly the cakes, are also available. On one visit, a barista named Florence, who was close to full term in her pregnancy, provided excellent and efficient service. The location was quiet, allowing for overheard conversations about the new manager, and the restroom was clean, although it had a strong smell.
