Further update: staff still fantastic, food is great. Menu is evolving constantly (but please bring back the chicken thigh (coscia di pollo imbottita I think it was)!

I ordered the Sunday dinner, roast beef and it was absolutely delicious, not many places that cook fresh so this was a big tick. I will definitely visit again.

Staff were attentive, the food was incredible, the wine was great and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. The chef even came out to speak to us which I thought was a lovely touch. Great job to everyone at Red Door Bistro. It was my first visit today but it certainly won't be my last!

13 Upper Dicconson St, WiganFelt really welcomed on entering the restaurant, staff were lovely and attentive. We were seated and asked for drinks and they were brought promptly. We ordered the lamb rump and the pork three ways, no starters as I noticed they offered a cheese board for dessert!
Food was amazing so was the service.

Wanted to leave this review to complement Craig on his service, he was very attentive and he rectified a minor issue we had really well. It left us quite happy to come back and try some more from the great looking menu.

The food was amazing, I dont usually eat a lot, but I finished my entire chicken, it was chicken breast in breadcrumbs with parma ham and a cream sauce. My husband had the chicken souvlaki which was also amazing. We'll definitely be making this a regular place
Parking: Unfortunately, there weren't a lot of parking spots available in their car park, but we managed to get a spot out on the side street.

The table for 5 I felt pushed near the window so the 5th person facing a column with no one able to sit opposite hence I changed seats with my nephew so he felt engaged to our conversations. Meal - The flavours are the best I have tasted for many years and this was impressive. My meal - was not warm and you could tell it had been sitting for the other meals to be ready. I’ve always had a hot meal at other restaurants like Rivaj and this was very disappointing. My family the other 4 had hot meals so I did feel like this was a let down for me Most of my guests had rice but I wanted chips. They had been served on a stainless steel plate and a very small portion. Overall I wanted to say 100% but due to my poor meal , not flavours that was lovely but only very slightly warm not hot at all. I am not an awkward customer but when spending over £180 I did want a hot meal. Would we visit again , yes but hope my meal would be worth the payment

The folded garlic bread is to die for. Calzone and kebabs are always packed full and delicious. We won't order from anywhere else now for our pizzas and kebabs! Massive thanks to all staff and owner!

The only problem we could see was that for the first hour there was only one young girl working and she had to greet guests, make drinks, take payments and deal with any other issues. In the first hour we seen potential customers coming in and walking out. This was because they were stood waiting for over 10mins to be shown to a table. They weren’t even acknowledged by the staff member which made it worse. The lost about 8 customers.

We were greeted with a smile and shown to our seat, it was pretty busy but the service was fast and the we didn’t have to wait long for our drinks. The food was great and we will 100% be coming back. 5 Star *****

Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible for wheelchairs. It's a small chippy and get busy but, the entrance is not ground level, it's a step up to the door

A real taste of Espana’
The fish dishes stole the show for me personally. Mussels, scallops cooked beautifully. Hot, fresh, crispy calamari.
The baked cod was sensational and something to write home about along with the cod fritters. Homemade aioli divine and crispy patata’s bravas wonderful. Cosy, warm, welcoming atmosphere, great music, wonderful friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Beautiful wine and excellent drinks selection, finished off with dessert and great coffee.

13 Upper Dicconson St, WiganFelt really welcomed on entering the restaurant, staff were lovely and attentive. We were seated and asked for drinks and they were brought promptly. We ordered the lamb rump and the pork three ways, no starters as I noticed they offered a cheese board for dessert!
Food was amazing so was the service.

Wanted to leave this review to complement Craig on his service, he was very attentive and he rectified a minor issue we had really well. It left us quite happy to come back and try some more from the great looking menu.
