19-21 High St, Standish, WiganIt was amzing we went for my dad's birthday and the staff were so funny and amzing the steak and mushroom pasta was so yummy and the garlic mushrooms were so juicy and the portions are absolutely huge and you definitely get what you pay for definitely coming back here again it was perfect and it's funny when they sing happy birthday definitely recommend if it someone's birthday go and take them here!!!

Pepper Lane Chippy
4 Pepper Ln, Standish, WiganWe live in Bootle, Liverpool and only ever get our fish and chips from Pepper Lane which is a half hour drive as to be honest there isn't anywhere closer to us in any direction that gets anywhere near the quality of this chippy! I'm an ex commercial fisherman who is very fussy about fish quality and freshness and can honestly say this is an absolutely amazing standard of food!
From the clean cooking smell when you walk in the door, the friendly staff and the perfect cooked food I would really recommend anyone local or those of you traveling to give it a try!
Parking: Spacious private carpark for customers.

Almond Brook Rd, Standish, WiganThe rooms are clean and tidy, the receptionist was very helpful and welcoming. Evening meal in the pub attached was exceptionally disappointing but the breakfast was excellent, cook to order, not a buffet... really very good and made up for the rather poor burgers and absolutely dire veggie lasagne.

Spar, Ground Floor Premises, School Ln, Standish, WiganBeen going here for years, I have left a review before but needed an update, Can’t beat a classic subway. Id possibly say its better than half the subways round the country only because the staff are always great and go above and beyond. Always telling you the best deals and little secrets about certain things, one about the ben and Jerry’s but I can’t say??.Also got to give a massive props to one of the workers Micheal, I’d got 2 tango ice-blasts from spar and he gave me a cup holder for them even tho i’d technically left subway.Food is always great, never had a burnt subway unlike from others. Even tho its attached to a spar the atmosphere is decent tbh. there’s places to sit inside, best seat is obvs the window seat with the stools. Although I always takeaway.Overall, It’s a Subway only one in standish and better than the 2 in wigan in my opinion so Enjoy ?I recommend The baller. Unfortunately they don’t do sriracha sauce which is a big let down for spicy food loversParking: Its free but small and pretty sure its timed.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp into the building

TIM’s La Mama Pizza & Kebab House STANDISH
9 High St, Standish, WiganOrdered 4 pizzas. I made a mistake on one, tried to ring to alter before it arrived. The guys at Tim’s La Mamas decided to send another pizza for free, even though it wasn’t their fault! Highly recommend!

Thompson House Equestrian Centre, Pepper Ln, Standish, WiganExceptional Ferrier's Breakfast and Coffee. A tad expensive for me but it was enough for two of us. Perfectly cooked and very tasty. Alas it will be a rare treat for me as I am a pensioner, but it was really good.
Staff pleasant and provided water for my dog free. Nice touch.
Good service. Excellent. Comments about some of the staff need clarifying. The young man serving us was lovely, but very shy. Cut them some slack giving the charity surroundings
Parking: Very easy to find and lots of space
Kid-friendliness: It is a disabled charity so everyone is totally on the ball and diverse

The Owls at Standish
Rectory Ln, Standish, WiganIt was a wonderful night, an excellent dinner with a starter of garlic bread and cheese. The time interval between the delivery of each meal was perfect, not too fast to the point of not having time to chat during the entrance and not too long to the point of having to wait a long time after the entrance was finished. Excellent service and high quality of the ingredients served in the meal.
Vegetarian options: There is a part of the menu aimed only at vegetarian and vegan audiences.
Dietary restrictions: There is an indication on all dishes on the menu that they are gluten and sugar free.
