We had a beautiful meal tonight at Sokrates. The food was amazing as was the service, the staff know so much about the food and take time to talk to you about the details of the menu and authentic ingredients. Thank you for a lovely experience, we will definitely come back again soon!

Luciano's at Middlebrook

Lovely shared platter of olives, cheeses, salamis etc and coffee. Presented beautifully in a clean, contemporary venue, not too crowded, good facilities. Satisfying and enjoyable, will try out their other locations too, & will return here soon. Thanks x

The Brewery Bar

Love this bar.Outstanding selection of craft beers and cider. Real traditional drinking tavern.The bar is upstairs, but it does have outside seating at ground level.4* only because it has room for live music yet doesn't do a lot of it.Have to mention the 'Sreet Food' vendor outside the entrance, with pub tables to enjoy it.My favourite bar in Horwich!

Jolly Crofters

Having recently moved to the area Jolly Crofters has become a local go to for an impromptu dinner out. Alison and Barry and their team are friendly and professional. There’s always a lovely welcome and a smile from the staff. We always have a good meal and I can definitely recommend the gammon and chips - it’s my favourite!

Brewed Coffee Company

MUST VISIT. We chose this place from the Google reviews and were very impressed. Moumita is a brilliant host, very welcoming and beautiful. We had the full breakfast one small one big. Perfectly sized, the ingredients are all locally sourced, traditional butchers sausage and bacon, bury black pudding ? and fully free range farm eggs, bakery toast. Moumita Cooked it all perfectly and in good time. Lovely tea coffee. It’s the best English breakfast I have ever had… and I have a lot. Will definitely be calling again. Don’t miss out! It’s that good ?

Curley's Dining Rooms

Can't fault the place, the staff and the food are first class. Everything and everywhere is spotlessly clean. Can get busy around dinner time, or lunchtime, depending on how posh you are. Not our first visit and hopefully not our last.

we been a few times now and we love it the first time we went was for my nana's birthday, the food is always lovely and the staff are so friendly me and my auntie even had a afternoon tea here and it was really good there will definitely be more times we coming such a lovely beautiful place

Iceland Supermarket Horwich

Iceland is a pretty good place to shop, although I'm sure it'll raise my brows pricey for us because we tend to buy ingredients, whereas this place tends to sell you ready to eat or almost ready to eat I do love the fact that they have brands, although a lot of brands they have at the moment aren't really my faves plus I am someone who will put in the time to cook so this place is more of a get a few bits as a treat rather than a full shop. But I mean if you're after pre-made pies and stuff that you can just put in the oven. They've got a good selection and the price is a pretty good for the frozen

Food was excellent. Even got a free garlic bread with our order.
A massive thank you to the men working there who made sure I got to my car safely after noticing I felt uncomfortable by some men that had passed by. Really appreciated. :)

What an absolute gem this place is, so glad I discovered it via a friend. Called today and had a sandwich, mini soup, cake and pot of tea - was amazing. Will 100% be regulars now. Staff were amazing too, so friendly. Thank you Maxine xx

Blundell Arms

Love going to Blundell Arms such a lovely place to go for a meal. We were served by Nat and Jennie who were lovely and so helpful. I would have given food 5 except for the seabass skin not being crunchie which I like. Only a little thing to note.
Miss the chocolate and rasberry torte which is no longer on the desert menu.
Highly recommend Blundle arms to all for a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
You wont be disappointed ❤

Tidy little boozer at the edge of Horwich. Warm friendly staff, nice range of drinks amd reasonable prices (with some good offers).Can get lively on a weekend night when the dj is in, shows the footy, warm and cosy enough, even when not very busy.Worth popping

Ordered the set meal for 2 picked the chicken tikka masala& lamb rogan Josh. Absolutely delicious the sundries where nice and the popadoms where fresh. My husband and i really enjoyed our food. Would definitely recommend

CAFE BRAMBLES

When you walk in a place and you get a clear view into the kitchen, I think that's a sign that the place has confidence they are doing things properly. If you are looking for a proper cosy caff then this is that. Cosy, clean, well lit and quite a decent variety of options on the breakfast and all day options.Prices are reasonable, think the veggie sausages were Linda McCartney which are quite distinctive - but this is a good thing (I happen to like them).Staff are super friendly and patient, and didn't mind the constant chatter from my talkative 5 year old.Will definitely return which I suppose tells you all you need to know. Compare this to my last breakfast out in Horwich (at the dreadful beehive) and it's cleaner, better atmosphere, lovely staff, better food served quicker - and costs less!!

I had a superlative experience in the middlebrook shop due to an amazing young man named Reece Stringer. He was very pleasant; outgoing and respectful. Never in my 5 years of frequenting different Subway franchises have i been so impressed by the quality of service! Another thing which stood out to me was how effectively he was coordinating himself and his colleague which further streamlined the experience.

Spice Valley Horwich Authentic Indian Restaurant

I'm actually reviewing the Cooking Class experience, not the restaurant itself. We had an absolutely brilliant time. We booked in for a 2 hour class and it was just the two of us. The chef demonstrated everything and then we had a go ourselves. His English wasn't fantastic (although considerably better than my Indian ?) but there was someone else there to talk us through it all. We made onion bhajis, chicken Rogan Josh, pilau rice and garlic and coriander naans - enough to feed at least 4 people. We were really well looked after, made to feel really welcome and had a lot of fun. I was a little concerned before I went about how they would deal with hygiene. I needn't have worried - they were absolutely on top of it throughout! They supplied us with aprons and chefs hats, notebook and pens and we could keep all of those at the end of the session. We even got a certificate for completing the class. It gave us the confidence, some knowledge and the desire to have many more attempts at making Indian food from scratch. We even got to take all of our food home to feed us and the rest of the family. All in all, I can't recommend it highly enough - we had a fantastic time and felt it was great value for money. If you like Indian food and fancy a go at learning to make it or if you just fancy a really fun time with a friend - book a class!

Hollywood Bowl Bolton

We have visited here 2 times now for different birthday celebrations. We typically have played 2 rounds of bowling then spent half an hour to an hur in the arcade playing the different games. Most of the games give tickets as rewards and the prizes for the tickets are rather limited due to the small size of the arcade, however saying that our last visit we had just over 850 tickets and managed to get 5 light up inflatable swords and 3 pairs of flashing glasses to use when we go to a concert in the near future.
We have also used the pool tables for many games of pool. Pool table accepted card and cash at £1.50 per game. Food here is nice but again limited. We have taken advantage of the 3 for £13.99 deal both times we have visited and it has been enough to snack on between 7 adults. Drinks are reasonably priced. We usually get the jugs of pop and share those out between us.

Domino's Pizza - Horwich

Wrong base pizza delivered. Contacted the restaurant and made them aware, they listened, apologised and informed me that if I was able to nip to the restaurant (which is thankfully only 5 mins drive) then they would make the pizza again for me. Free wedges added for the inconvenience which was a nice touch.
All in all, very pleasant staff and as always the food is spot on.

Square Slice

Food arrived warm not hot as expected considering the really short distance via car, but was not clock cold.

The food would was nice but would have been even better had it have actually been hot, cheese on the pizza and the first wasn’t hot and oozing just cold and chewy.

Delivery was a little late and the driver was out delivering for 15 minutes before arriving despite the journey taking 3 minutes by car.

Delivery driver was polite and respectful though.

Corner Cafe

Visited on 12/03/20. I had the Breakfast Barm, I recommend it, my partner had a breakfast. Service was quick but we were not rushed. Good quality with a good price, "Danny" served us, very pleasant. We will visit again.

Milano Take Away

Just had the best ever pizza-I like mine really done-wowed I know lol! It was absolutely spot on and the only place to actually get my order correct! Thanks Dave! Highly recommend *****

We started to order from here alot now !! The mix grill platter is brillGood for price always taste fresh and cooked well fresh salad, we had other things tooNo complaints for my family. We love it and will keep going

It is a small store with a supermarket (small too)\\nYou can find non alcoholic beer, lovely steaks, and I love the pâté, chicken liver pâté. I wish it was larger store. The employees there are great people and very helpful. I love the place.
