Sweet Rose Cakery
162 St. Marys Ln, UpminsterI ordered 12 Afternoon Tea selection boxes as a Christmas treat for the teachers at my autistic son's school, on behalf of the parents. The packaging was excellent, and the smell of freshly baked scones was absolutely delightful. The teachers thoroughly enjoyed their lunch, and it was a lovely way to show our appreciation for all their hard work. The venue was beautiful and very welcoming with plenty of fresh home made products on display to entice customers!

13 Station Rd, UpminsterVisited here with my family for my husbands birthday, and we found it to be a cute little restaurant. The atmosphere was buzzing and it was very busy for a Thursday which goes to show just how popular it is. The staff were very friendly and helpful they moved some tables for us so we could fit our buggy next to us. Although they do not do a children's menu they make fresh pasta dishes and our three year old loved the tomato pasta the chef whipped up for her! (Just ask the waiter I'm sure they will accommodate your wishes). Food was very good couldn't fault it and would definitely reccomend to others, and we loved the atmosphere inside we felt as though we could have been in Italy.
Kid-friendliness: Staff were willing to accommodate us and our 2 children (Ages 3 years and 7 months) let them know you have a buggy and they will do there best to give you a table where it fits next to you.

The Puddle Cafe & Restaurant
Puddledock Farm, St. Marys Ln, UpminsterWe arrived at 2:55 and they served us even though there was a sign that said no food orders after 3 pm. We were pleasantly surprised at the food, Sausage sandwiches and an omelette, which was exactly what we wanted at the time. Very homey and down to earth place. We wanted a quick "tea" and we got what we wanted.

Damyns Hall Aerodrome Ltd
Aveley Road, UpminsterThis is a lovely little airfield with a great cafe for aviators and the general public alike. There is an interesting variety of aircraft here, and on a good weather day, it can be fairly busy! Ideal for sitting outside of the cafe and watching the action.
Access to the airfield is via a poorly-signposted track on a blind bend. It's not great to get into, and it's even worse to drive out of. Some much-improved signage and clearing of the junction is needed to aid visitors and improve road safety.

Also they were continuously checking tables to make sure they were cleared and were polite when taking empty glasses away. Definitely would come back here. I only gave four stars rather than five because there’s hardly any vegan options but the service was a five.

The waitress Rupy was very accommodating, from when I initially called to the level of service provided at the table as well as the other staff members. The food portions were very good and it had plenty of flavour. The décor was modern and with the calm music, created a nice setting. This will definitely be a regular place to visit.

Dietary restrictions: My mother is Coeliac and since Costa no longer offer Gluten free options we were on the look out for a safe place to have a hot chocolate and caffe nero came to the rescue
