It’s a stunning pub with unexpectedly good service, food and atmosphere in the most touristy area in London. As a local in London, I know most places near Leicester Square are tourist traps with awful foods and high prices, but Waxy O’Connor’s surprised me with quality.
Delicious! The food is so good and the pub itself is very pretty. We went on a Thursday night (at about 9pm) and it was packed full, but luckily it is huge and there are plenty of tables. Most food costed about £15.

Even in the middle of the afternoon the pub was great. Fantastic atmosphere and decor, love the layout in amongst the tree, and was able to watch a bit of GAA whole we were there. Brilliant place.
