I picked a bad day to try this pub out as it was Marathon Day and the pub was packed out which was, apparently, unusual for a Sunday afternoon. It didn't seem to affect the service which was prompt and friendly. I tried the Murphys stout which I hadn't seen for years and thought it was well kept.
What a gem of a pub! The creamiest pints of plain outside the Emerald Isle; friendly service and patrons, great atmosphere while the sport was on... Thoroughly recommend. Did have food when I visited, but will certainly give it a whirl next time.

Best pint in London, hands down! The Hope is a gem and one of my favourite pubs in the city. Very friendly staff and a pint of Murphy’s what cannot be liked. I’m sure this is one of the only pubs in the UK serving pints of Murphy’s, which makes it extra unique. Also, if you are fortunate, you may catch an appearance from Stomp the Dog.
