Dined here with a group of friends yesterday to celebrate a birthday. The atmosphere and room setting of the restaurant is beautiful.For those of us that had the tasting menu, the food was very well presented but was disappointing overall compared to other 3 Michelin star restaurants. The service is pretty much on point but they pulled a fast one after the tasting menu (In which they bring amuse between courses) when they offered an ‘infusion tea’ a sprig of your herb of choice covered with hot water, £10 a piece, you just feel taken advantage of.Other than that the food is good but not 3* standard, the 2* I worked in (Le Manoir) was vastly superior.

If I’m honest, the Michelin rating of this restaurant feels somewhat arbitrary. Just because you serve a dish in a five star gilded hotel, and the dish is complex and dynamic does not mean it tastes good. #lessthanwhelmed #basic
