Yet, as amazing as the food was, what truly stood out during my visit was the service—specifically, our server, Jesus. From the moment he approached our table, he radiated friendliness and professionalism. He took the time to explain the menu in detail, offering personalised recommendations that perfectly matched our tastes. He genuinely seemed to care about our dining experience.
Jesus was attentive, ensuring our drinks were always full and checking in regularly to see if we needed anything. He took it upon himself to remember our special requests, which made us feel valued and appreciated. It’s rare to encounter a server with such an excellent balance of personable charm and professionalism—a true asset to the restaurant.
Not only did Jesus provide exceptional service, but he also helped create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere that made the entire evening one to remember. It’s evident that he takes pride in his work, and it truly enhances the overall dining experience!

117 Brighton Rd, CoulsdonWe thoroughly enjoyed our first dining experience at Lo Zafferano. All the food that we ordered were amazing and serving portions are generous and well worth the price. The penne arrabbiata is highly recommended as well as their branzino. Great atmosphere and the staff are friendly and very accommodating. We have been looking for a local Italian restaurant for a while and we finally found it! I highly recommend Lo Zafferano and we will be returning for sure.

145 Brighton Rd, CoulsdonI can't rate atmosphere as I've never eaten in, just ordered out, but the food is... genuinely the best Indian food I've ever eaten. And I'm Indian myself! Even my own father had to concede it was better than his cooking and I've never heard give up his title as best Indian cook before. The curries are phenomenal, so so flavoursome. even if you get a milder dish like butter chicken or chicken tikka, every bite is a flavour explosion. And the hotter dishes are gorgeous, a slow building heat (their Rajasthani lamb curry!) and so much flavour and the most tender juicy meat! Never had a chewy bit - just tender, melt in your mouth lamb and chicken that breaks apart with little effort. It IS expensive but 10000% worth it, you don't get this level of quality for cheap. It's one place I will always splurge on mainly because every new dish I try is heaven and I can't make my mind up anymore. I used to not even really like biryani much but their lamb biryani changed my life - I crave the stuff! I started of trying their naanwiches and thinking they were a 10/10 and eventually moving onto ordering a curry, not realising their curries were out of this world delicious and creamy and flavoursome and I had to give them a 20/10. I know it seems a bit over the top but honestly, I can't believe they don't have the hype they deserve because the food is so damn good. You will not regret eating here - I've never had a bad experience or a bad dish!

Authentic food and service, with two Italian guys from Parma running the place. The restaurant itself is small and intimate with a very good ambiance. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Even my wife who doesn't usually like pizza loves them!

Service by Miles was very good, polite, efficient and friendly. The chef looked well presented and also served the food, which shows pride in what he does and always good to know who’s cooking your food! We had the wine and dine, every course was extremely good. Scallops, rib eye steak, chocolate bomb. They were all very well presented and well cooked, a touch of master chef feel. Three courses, £100 with wine - absolute bargain, plus minimal travel and time. Good to eat local

136 Brighton Rd, CoulsdonI found this cafe earlier this year before the rebrand and it became my go to spot the portions were good, the food was nice and the employees lovely but now it seems that the food quantity has gotten smaller which is a big let down ! I compared the pictures from before and I was shocked don’t get me wrong the brekkie is still lovely but it’s just disappointing because I used to be full by the end and now I go home and have to eat more. I order atleast once a week for date night for the past 3 months and never had any issues.Super kind and friendly staff especially 1 worker in particular who helped when it was needed most. Their double cheese burger is amazing. And the customer service is second to none. I myself being a chef have tried many different food outlets for me for a little takeaway shop it definitely scores 10/10 for me and their milkshakes well they go down a treat aswell.. 100% lovely takeaway ?

Chunky, fried in a way which almost feels battered. They don't get soggy on the way home and are lovely, warm, with a nice crisp on the outside and rich potato on the inside.The cod was exceptional - flaky, delicious and crispy batter, and a great portion size.You can also get the pukka pies here which are always a winner.
