Cristina's Steak
8-10 North St, BarkingGreat welcome and service from the lovely staff at Cristinas. This is a spot I regularly visit for their steak and smash burgers. This time round I tried out the brisket steak, which unfortunately did not match up to the other items on menu. The steak was clearly pre-cooked and warmed up and not as soft and succulent as the meat I’ve tasted in the brisket burgers. There was not a lot of carbs in the meal either, and one gravy shared between two. Food came very quick and they were also good to accommodate for a baby high chair and quick seating during a very busy period.
Prices are reasonable for London steakhouse, and plenty of drink options on menu.
Overall, I would visit again but Sunday roast may be given a miss.
Edit: Meant to say Brisket Roast not steak, which tastes a lot less soft and tender than the brisket in the burger and what I’ve had at countless other places.

113 River Rd., BarkingOne of Gordon Ramsay’s flagship locations. Dishes were great but felt little underwhelmed. I’ve eaten at his hells kitchen and other restaurants and found them to be little better overall. Also sticky toffee pudding with a little overcooked and dry, but the staff was helpful and didn’t charge for it, but still, I would’ve expected better from his flagship locations.

Only negative is they are cash only but have no signage to let you know this when you go in and staff don’t tell you until it’s time to pay. They have a free ATM inside but not everyone wants to pay cash, especially for me this caused some hassle later as it was a business expense

15 London Rd, BarkingReally loved the food here. Such a great mix of starters. I also ordered the Haleem which is a dish I'd never had before. Initially I was disappointed that it was almost a soup-like consistency but with the excellent rice it just got better and better. Nice spicing, some kick but not too hot to enjoy. The mango drink topped it off. Even better any profits go into supporting the nearby community centre. Highly recommended.

Parked easily just outside and found the cafe to be welcoming, clean and with great food. Staff were friendly and helpful. We may not be back because we live too far away, but if you live locally PLEASE support this lovely cafe by visiting. You won't be disappointed.

561 Longbridge Rd, BarkingAlright. The chicken is tender, flavorful it has the right amount of spice!The crisp stay on the chicken but it’s not overly fried. If you are African or you just enjoy delicious spicy food in general then this is your spot.
You might have to wait for your meal outside though because the inside is quite hot.
They also have chicken doner/kebabs/burgers and if you don’t eat meat don’t be afraid they got something for you as well.
Vegetarian options: They have options where you can order without meat!

Popeye's Peri Peri Barking

59 East Street, BarkingI absolutely love Greggs! I love the fact that I get free tea at the weekend and another one during the week. One around my way Sells doughnuts for as little as £3 and some change for 15 or 12 and two Belgium buns for 55p. I can't complain at all, theyre delicious.

I am always fill up my VW Golf with 99 V Power Petrol because is the best in quality!!! 54 Station Parade, BarkingOrdered online. I was impressed because I was able to have a burger without a bun with no mess. Believe me or not it is important when you don’t eat carbs. Majority of the mass known restaurants offer no bun option but it is always messed and disgusting to eat.
Well done Dixy I have enjoyed my burger even tho I have taken bun off and chicken was nice. Delivered quick and with sauces. Consider keto friendly - carbohydrate free options in the menu and you will hit the roof ?

The food was delicious, as expected from KFC, and the environment was clean and well-maintained. We decided to try the Christmas meal deal, which was a great choice. The chicken was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sides, including the festive items, complemented the meal nicely. The seating area was spacious and comfortable, offering a pleasant atmosphere for a meal with friends or family.
However, our experience was slightly marred by the staff's uncooperative attitude. When we asked for ketchup and mayo, we were informed that they had run out, which seemed unusual. The staff member's response felt a bit dismissive, and it left us disappointed. We understand that sometimes supplies run low, but the lack of alternative options or any apology for the inconvenience was frustrating.
Despite this minor setback, the overall quality of the food and the clean, inviting environment made up for the less-than-ideal service. I would still recommend KFC Barking for a quick and tasty meal, but hope that the staff can be a bit more accommodating in the future. 4 stars.
