The Salutation Inn is a first-class local pub that brews its own excellent beer. It does not pretend to be a gastro-pub but does what it does very well, often with a smile. The pub offers a lovely selection of cask ales, lagers, ales, and real ciders, with reasonably priced bar snacks. It is dog-friendly and has a fire, making it a great pub experience. However, the food options may be limited, with pies, fries, and rolls being the main choices on some occasions. The staff are amiable and can recommend the in-house brewery's ales.
