The menu varies from a gorgeous filling £11 lasagne to a melt in your mouth £30 steak. they really give you the Italian experience. An absolute must try.

SoPa Thai Westcliff

Great to come with the family or if you are on a date with your something on the side. Even better, bring the wife and the mistress and see where the night will take you!

Staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed. I'm definitely coming back. Gets busy around 6pm ish, so get there in good time. Outside seating is also available.

Il Mondo Southend
326-328 London Rd, Westcliff-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, Westcliff-on-SeaWe visited this restaurant after a matinée at Cliffs Pavilion to have a meal from their fixed price two course menu, which seemed good value (£17.95 per head including a beer or soft drink). We received a very friendly greeting, and had a wonderful meal. The helpings were generous - we expected them to be scaled down because of the low price, but that was not the case. We both had an amazing pasta starter, and gorgeous lamb in rosemary and red wine main course, which came with plenty of lovely lean and tender lamb. Would highly recommend, and will return when we next go to Southend.
Parking: We parked at Hamlet Court car park, a minute's walk away. No charge after 6pm. Plenty of space.

Cafe O Portugues

Sweet man, it was our first time at the cafe and he explained to us what the different assorted Portuguese cutlets was. We got the pork breaded cutlet and it was so good we came back, sat in and tried the other ones! The mocha was 10/10!

The service and welcome was so lovely, food was delicious and presented wonderfully.

Wilsons coffee
11 Station Rd, Westcliff-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, Westcliff-on-SeaI stopped in on a visit from Philadelphia (in town for a wedding) and it was a really nice treat! Great iced latte and the service couldn’t have been better or friendlier. Even the other customers (2 and 4 legged) were very friendly. I will have to try to go back again before I leave the area on Friday.

Tara Thai restaurant

Curry Pot

Great Tides Restaurant & Bar
18-20 Westcliff Parade, Westcliff-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, Westcliff-on-SeaMy friends and I booked a pre theatre meal here not really knowing what to expect and we can honestly say this is our new place to eat. We all had fish and chips which was absolutely delicious as well as piping hot. Desserts were varied but we all were amazed by the large portion sizes, including the ice cream. Toby ,our server was an absolute credit to the restaurant ,with his attentive service, helpfulness and friendly personality. We asked if Sangria was available and although it wasn't on the drinks list 2 jug fulls appeared at our table as they kindly made it up for us and was actually the best we've ever tasted.

Padrino Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria
7 Shorefield Rd, Westcliff-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, Westcliff-on-SeaWent here for a family dinner of around 10 people, service was excellent and regularly checking in on us, food was fresh and tasty, I had a Calzone, which was a good portion size and very good.
Kid-friendliness: We had children present and there were no issues from staff or others in the restaurant.
Wheelchair accessibility: Quite a few small steps throughout the building due to the very hilly location.

The Indian Chefs

The chicken korma was full of flavour and the chicken cooked to perfection. The onion bhajis were super delicious also. If you are thinking of dining in I'd highly recommend booking a table so you don't miss out.

The food was absolutely unreal and the staff were super friendly and helpful. My daughters loved it as much as we did! So I went back with my boyfriend and children and the food was spot on again, lots of choices for drinks too. So clean in there and spacious. It is honestly one of the best places myself and boyfriend have been for a roast and we are always eating out! Will be back plenty more times for food and definitely a night out there! Xx

It’s now one of our favourite places for lunch or dinner, but be warned that it is not a cheap meal. On a warm, sunny day, there’s no better place to eat than their outside area, and the cocktails are amazing!

The Salisbury Cafe
178A West Rd, Westcliff-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, Westcliff-on-SeaI noticed this cafe is under new ownership so thought I'd pop in and give it a go today.
I went for the set breakfast no.2 and switched out the beans for a fried slice, you also get sour dough toast with your breakfast.
The food was amazing, I can't fault any part of the breakfast.
The staff are friendly and welcoming.
The menu is extensive and the prices extremely reasonable.
Definitely be going back and I recommend you give it a go.

Decent amount of curry for three of us for 28 quid... And delivery was bang on time.The quality of the food was outstanding and piping hot!! The vindaloo was spot on as were the prawn puree s!Really jolly delivery man as well.... Definitely be back for more.

Zinnia Restaurant Southend
Clifftown Shore, Western Esplanade, Westcliff-on-SeaWe went there for our anniversary, the service was excellent, very polite and attentive. We chose a selection of 6 dishes, high quality and we enjoyed all of them. Also the recommended wine was very good.
The place is very elegant, it is also very big and only three tables were reserved, so a bit “cold”.
The only negative side was the atrocious smell of urine in the man bathroom, this is not expected in this kind of place.
