The Horseshoes Country Pub & Dining Room
Horseshoe Hill, Upshire, Waltham AbbeyGreat pub on the edge of the forest. We parked in their car park, went on a 4 hour hike, then returned for dinner. There was so much choice and all our meals were massive. The staff were warm and friendly too. Will definitely again.

60 Paternoster Hill, Waltham AbbeyHeld a fabulous 90th birthday party at the Queens Head for 50 family members and friends. From the moment of enquiry right through to the end, Ellie was super helpful and keen to accommodate all our wishes to make the party a great success. Buffet was excellent quality and exactly what we wanted. Had family photos showing on the tv and perfect background music playing. The birthday boy had a great time. Wheatsheaf
Crooked Mile, Waltham AbbeyA nice children friendly pub on the edge of Waltham Abbey. There is a car park to the side. A large beer garden with decking welcomes customers who want to sit outside. The inside is clean and tidy with various areas to sit. If you like pool you're in luck as there is a table near the entrance. Food is offered here but I only popped in for a drink.

The Plough
Sewardstone Rd, Waltham AbbeyIt was a wonderful experience. Thank you.
The only issue was the hardness of the Yorkshire Pudding. Couldn't cut into it. 9/10.
The Lasagne and ciabatta, and mini side salad are the best in the area. 10/10.

Chilli Pickle
40 Highbridge St, Waltham AbbeyThe food was nice and fresh, but….not enough taste. I have been to White Chapel a few time, and the food was different. I could feel more taste. This one feel like they haven’t put enough spices. But it’s okey when you’re hungry. I have some friends from Bangladesh and when they cook the food is tasty. From this restaurant it’s just not enough taste. This is the only issue I have. Still recommended.
Vegetarian options: Not bad food but not enough taste. I don’t know why. I have a few friends from Bangladesh and when they cook it’s just different. It’s more taste.
