The fish was super tasty, the chips were okay. Particularly noteworthy is the warmth of the owner. I ate there alone, but felt welcome and not alone from the start. Nice regular customers.

Slug & Lettuce

Crystal was delightful. Excellent service, she prioritised us and surprised us with drinks of her choice. Lovely day out, 10/10 would return. Slay.

Leigh Bistro Restaurant

Had a brilliant meal this afternoon. Great value for two courses. Lovely atmosphere and the service was top notch. And for a roast, it was great as we are fussy roast eaters when out. Will be back very soon. The gentleman at front of house was a super star. Highly recommend.

Miller & Carter Leigh-On-Sea

Always a great experience, we took my husband's assistance dog, the chef cooked him a breast of chicken in addition ? they gave him water! the services was incredibly Amazing! delicious Food?.

The Old Windmill

Had a super lunch with a party of 19 people, staff and food was excellent. Thank you windmill staff who worked really hard. Would definitely recommend and will be returning again xx

Pizza Hut Delivery

Pizza Hut never disappoints! Their pizzas are always fresh, delicious, and loaded with toppings. The stuffed crust is a must-try, and the sides are great too. The service is quick and friendly, whether dining in or ordering delivery. Perfect for a tasty, reliable meal every time!

Just popped into the Victory for a bit of lunch as we heard it was under New Management. The food was very lovely, well priced and Sonya our server was an absolute delight.

Regularly use to top up my fuel but also for a bit of shopping. Had a question about one of my products, I actually spoke to the general manager there who was so helpful, he really went out of his way to get an answer for me. Would highly recommend for anyone to use.

Nice little spot for lunch. Good option to sit inside or outside! Good choice of food probably one of then only places that offers sandwich’s/ panini’s aswell as hot food which was great as don’t always want burgers and chips etc! Food took awhile to come but seemed to be cooked fresh and was well worth the wait! Good price after the annual pass discount Will definitely be back!

Nando's Southend

Food was cooked to perfection. The place was so ambient with good lighting and music but not too loud so you could still have a very cozy conversation.
Our waitress Alessia was so sweet and attentive. Incredible customer service.
10/10 would dine again!

Wimpy

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting the Wimpy located in Victoria Plaza, Southend-on-Sea. This visit was particularly nostalgic for me, as I used to work as a manager at a Wimpy back in the mid-70s. Seeing the familiar menu brought back many fond memories.

The restaurant is managed by a very hospitable Greek Cypriot gentleman who is also the franchisee. He was incredibly welcoming and made the visit even more special. Despite having had a five-course meal at another restaurant earlier, my wife and I couldn't resist treating ourselves to dessert at Wimpy. The desserts were excellent, just as I remembered them. The service was top-notch, and the overall experience was fantastic.

If you're ever in Southend-on-Sea, I highly recommend stopping by this Wimpy for a trip down memory lane and excellent service.

Definitely recommend this branch, staff is very lovely and service is always fast, also quality of food never disappoints. They also have quite a few veggie options compared to other fast food restaurants.

Jerk Island Grill

Our first order from this outlet (Jerk Island Grill) and only our second ever Jerk Chicken, the first being eaten in the Caribbean! Well, for me EVEN BETTER than my first experience! The ‘original Jerk chicken ‘ was absolutely delicious and the sauce sublime! We had it with sides of rice & beans, bbq sweetcorn and a first for me, fried dumplings!! Blown away and definitely returning. Highly recommended!!

Patisserie Valerie

A perfect afternoon tea. I especially loved the hot scones with Rodda's cream, butter and Bonne Maman conserve. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant clean and well decorated. A great experience, I'll definitely be back ?

The Borough Hotel

Seafront pub, that has music at the weekends. Quite a large premises. There is a pool table away from the entertainment if the music isn't your thing. Staff are very pleasant, no wait, as there were about four staff members serving. Not sure if the pub serves food. I don't think it was available as the night in question was a Saturday. But the seafront has plenty of food outlets, so spoilt for choice. Band on Saturday was quite good. (Photos from Google)

Staff go out there way to help you and very friendly.

Kid-friendliness: Colouring in for the kids my grandson designed a Christmas ball ball and was over the moon when one of the staff members put it on top of the Christmas tree.

Oliver's on the Beach

If your looking for something special this is your place, friendly staff, excellent food, nice atmosphere and a lovely sea view to finish it off.

Vegetarian options: Plenty of options to choose from.

Parking: Plenty all along the seafront.

Kid-friendliness: Very efficient and friendly staff.

We go here quite often but this time we went for my dad's 80th Birthday and the girls sang Happy Birthday to him. This really made his day.

Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe

A nice trip down memory lane. Just wish some old favourites were there, Lucky Dip was a great childhood favourite and also Hubba Bubba chewing gum which were missing. Other than that, it has a great selection for the size of the store and the staff were friendly too.

Parking: There are some nearby pay and display parking lots.

Cafe 206 Limited

I don’t ever leave a review, this is by far the best cafe I have come across, and I go to a lot being in the building trade. the staff are great, and the food is amazing. This will be my go to place from now on ☺️
