I came in with my husband as a treat for our first dinner date as a newly married couple. The shaw farm team made sure this was in fact a lovely treat. Our waiter Connor was very attentive and made sure we were kept happy throughout our whole visit. I had the sea bass veloute which was absolutely gorgeous. Everything paired wonderfully together, especially the smoked pancetta sauce which tied the whole meal together and made it melt in my mouth. Definitely will be visiting again!
Service was good, generally the staff seemed friendly and attentive, atmosphere was OK, the pub and restaurant had a nice feel, huge beer gardens which is great. Pond area and gardens appear a little overgrown which is a shame. Food was a little underwhelming, I had the chicken club sandwhich, which was tiny but tasted nice.
Following one of our regular Friday meanders around the country lanes with my dear old Dad, we ended up here at the Shaw Farm and was very pleasantly surprised.The staff were absolutely fabulous and we were served by a lady called Karina and when I told her about my dad and the fact that he was in a wheelchair, nothing was too much trouble and she was so very helpful.The first thing she did was to sort at a table near the access toilet, and to those with elderly parents, they...read full review
