We went for a family meal on a Friday night, and the first one impression was from the pub itself; it is a really comfy andWelcoming atmosphere, after all it's over 400 years old le, so that ts a proper traditional setting.
The staff and locals were very frustrating endly and we were made to feel welcome from the moment we entered.
The pub freely says they don't do fast food, they do good food. You have to wait, but its not for as long as of you were to create ok their meals at home by a long shot, and its worth the wait.
I had a lamb shank, others had the burger and the ribs, and everyone really liked their meals.
The red wine was good and the pub serves a lot of different ales including local brewers, which I think is always a big thumbs up to any pub.
Overall, its a really great place to go for a family meal. Staff, venue, wine, ale, food and atmosphere are a 5*. We will definitely go back.
