A group of 8 came for lunch today and all of us so impressed . From the moment we sat down to us leaving the service was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We were given the terrace to ourselves so we could all sit and talk and have three best view of the showroom. The choice of food was extensive and we we all spoilt for choice - we all said how tasty and fresh the food was- we wil be back very soon

Maldon Tandoori

100% recommend. Best Indian food I have ever had. Lovely friendly staff, they really looked after us. Restaurant is lovely inside, decor is very calming and welcoming, felt very comfortable here. The food was absolutely delicious, look forward to eating here again.

Luigis al Fresco

Luigi’s in Maldon has charm in spades and a cozy vibe that says “settle in.” The menu, though, is a touch repetitive—lots of the same ingredients reinvented, which can feel like déjà vu on a plate. The pizzas, however, are stars of the show: think authentic, crispy, and full of flavour. If it’s a pizza night with friends, Luigi’s is a solid bet!

After seeing them on Channel 4’s 4 in a Bed, I’ll admit I had high hopes for a dash of creativity on the plate—some colour and flair. Sadly, it didn’t quite match the show’s sparkle. Service was friendly and attentive, though, which we always applaud!

One small turbulence: there’s no parking, so prepare to hunt for a spot nearby. Four of us dined with starters, mains, and a drink each, and the bill came to £200. So, if you’re after a casual evening with good company and a pizza that won’t disappoint, Luigi’s will tick those boxes. Just don’t expect a full Italian experience.

Parking: You have to park behind M&S and walk down to the restaurant

Wheelchair accessibility: Not really suitable for someone in a wheelchair. Lots of steps and the journey from the car park in Maldon to the venue.

Black Rabbit Pub

Great little pub at the end of the high street. Just stopped in for a quick drink but would come back next time I am passing.

Good selection of drinks and a car park behind it.

There are tables outside and a play area for the kids too.

Costa

I always do click and collect here in the mornings when I’m working in Maldon, usually 2 or 3 days a week. The ladies are always so friendly (even though I sometimes have a big order from all my colleagues!) and nothing is too much trouble.

Maldon Spice

We popped in here on the 15th October. The gentleman showed us to a table and engaged in chatting to my 6-year-old daughter, which she appreciated. Food arrived promptly. Very good service. The food was perfect. The gentleman was very chatty and both my wife and daughter really enjoyed being there. Not noisy and overall a very nice evening.
Getting back to the food. All of us really liked it. I ordered a vindaloo, which was perfect. Not so hot it burned me; just right.
The gentleman was very accommodating, and we have decided this is our new Indian restaurant to go to.
3 courses for 3 people and non-alcoholic drinks came in at under £100.

Paul's Plaice

Had a family Fish and Chip supper from here on Saturday. Must admit it’s not the cheapest Plaice.Lol. But it’s probably the best Fish and Chips we’ve had in a long time. Well worth the extra money. The portion
Size does warrant the extra money I must admit. Will definitely be back when we’re visiting family again. Keep up the good work all.

Chutney House

A great experience in a one of restaurant. This place is amazing, the food is authentic Indian food. I’ve tried the fish dishes and the salmon tikka is cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The paneer starters is very nice too, the samosas are unique and much better than you normally get in an Indian restaurant. The curries are superb, Bombay potatoes are so nice. The side dishes are not the same portion size as you would expect, but they are ample for two people and we aren’t big eaters. The cost is reasonable and definitely worth getting the loyalty card. The management are lovely people, they’ve worked hard to maintain a Great restaurant. I like that they are able to explain the history behind the dish and ingredients used to make the dishes so special. They also open Christmas Day, we’ve eaten there on Christmas Day and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed and great food again. One of the best restaurants in Maldon

Zara Indian Cuisine (Danbury)

What a lovely restaurant, really nice and lively which was clean and today with plenty of parking too. The waiters were very nice and friendly and there was a great atmosphere.

The food was so tasty and we both really enjoyed it. Lots of flavour, nice size portions and spiced how we like it.

Really impressed and will definitely return next time I'm working in this area ??

Sark Restaurant

We visited for the first time today and had the 2 course lunch deal. I thought the restaurant looked great and the menu choices were good with a nice range of meat, fish and vegetable dishes. Service was attentive and very quick, and I liked that Efes beer was on draught.

The food was fresh, plentiful and very tasty, I also thought the 2 courses were excellent value. We really enjoyed our meal and it was nice that the the staff took the time to interact with our baby daughter.

We look forward to our next visit and the deliciously strong Turkish coffee made an excellent finish to our time here.

Greggs

All Greggs offer a selection of bakery food at reasonable prices for modern standards. Not all Greggs have nice clean tables away from the madness of the High Street and friendly staff, such as Tiger and Sharon. I always get greeted with a smile here. Some of the staff even remember me.

Inaya's Takeaway

Amazing food. We ordered two different platters with various sides. The chicken was cooked to perfection, the curly fries were perfect and crispy when they arrived which is so unusual for a takeaway! It was like Nando’s but 10 times better. Would definitely make this place out local takeaway. Gutted they are on holiday now until June (from what it says on their website). Was nice to have something different in Heybridge from the usual takeaways!

Wetherspoons Rose And Crown

Nice pub ,gets very busy so if more than 2 of you wanting to eat you need to get there early as not many 4 seat tables . Lots of 2's or high stalls to sit on opp bar area. Drinks are super value, 2 large glasses rosè only £5.90 ?

Crystal Cafe

Good cafe and very reasonably priced I use here when I go for a ride to maldon on the bike.Parking: Take a camera as there are a few London sail barges moored here ans they are magnificent

Madison Heights

Great soft play. 2 big levels, multiple slides (3x corkscrews, 1x double long slide and a couple of smaller ones).

Food is good. Coffee is OK.

They don't fill up kids water bottles though.

Maldon King Kebab & Pizza

Had the king special mixed kebab really worth price. I think it is more than enough for 3 people. Really fresh and delicious. It was really good when I lived in maldon. Now i need drive from colchester to get it but still one of the best kebab.

Best Kebab & Pizza House

The best pizzas and kebabs in the area! Wouldn't go anywhere else. So much better than other takeaways and McDonald's and much more affordable. Always arrives hot and within a reasonable time. Would highly recommend ?

Dietary restrictions: I usually order a pizza with no cheese due to being lactose intolerant, the shop always caters to this well.
