Lower Rd, Hullbridge, HockleyA busy restaurant for the carvery lunch today with two large parties in. We enjoyed our lunch - Broccoli and Stilton soup and the carvery for me and prawn cocktail and the carvery for my civil partner. Service was excellent as the restaurant had extra staff on duty.

23-25 Spa Rd, HockleyAlways the best service and food. Wouldn't get my fish and chips from anywhere else. They deliver and will cook fresh to order. Their own fishcakes and sticky BBQ ribs are amazing! My husband loves theIr southern fried chicken. Fish isn't too shabby either! All round great food.
Parking: You can park behind the co-op for 45 mins for free

Truly a hidden gem near the River.
Beer prices are reasonable & Max the Bar Manager is epic works like 3 people behind the bar ?.
Great venue with live music played most weekends.

18 Spa Rd, HockleyI had a wonderful experience at Ronnie’s. The staff were amazing, especially with my youngest who has additional needs. The food was delicious and there was a varied menu for both children and adults. Not only was the food amazing but the drinks menu was vast with some delicious cocktails on offer. Hats off to the girls. I’ll be seeing you again soon x

Chinese 2 Night
3 Broad Parade, HockleyBabysitting for friends in Hockley and asked their takeaway recommendation. This was the Chinese suggestion, and it was very good to be fair. I ordered directly from them as I could not find them on Just Eat etc. Their website has a clear menu. It features 2 telephone numbers but the bottom one doesn't work. At first I could not get through, constantly engaged (it was a Saturday night) but after about 5 minutes of continuous trying I got through. Ordering was easy, and I advised that I wanted to pay card which they advised they can take at the door. They said it would be an hour or so, and it was just over an hour. It was hot and fresh. I enjoyed Chilli squid, King Prawn Chow Mein, Special Fried Rice and Broccoli and Mushrooms. All delicious and will order again when I am back in the neighborhood!

14 Spa Rd, HockleyRecently moved to this area and luckily found this takeaway. Very easy to order over the phone. Cooked freshly in open kitchen easily viewed from the payment desk. Food is very tasty and they have a 5* hygiene rating!! Staff very friendly. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

The staff were extremely helpful over the phone and the delivery driver was friendly. The staff were incredibly accommodating, providing us with our own area and even setting up the decorations we brought. Pre-ordering our food a week in advance made everything so easy and stress-free. The service was fantastic, and the food was excellent—everyone was really happy with their meal! I would highly recommend The Anchor to anyone looking to book a gathering with family or friends. 253 Ferry Rd, Hullbridge, HockleyStopped here late for my second Kebab from this shop. The guys had run out of Doner meat on the gyro skewer, so I opted for lamb shish. Don't know what the guy uses to marinade his meats but when I stopped to eat, it was perilously close to a religious experience. ???Parking: Street parking bays right outside the shop.
