The attention to detail and friendly staff made it extra special. I can see why you would need to book a table. Brunch was excellent. I would 100% recommend

The Lock Tea Room
Basin Rd, Heybridge Basin, MaldonI can not compliment this place enough. It is set in a beautiful setting, really delicious food, lovely friendly staff, clean, tidy and reasonably priced. We were lucky and got to sat outside in September. Highly recommended ?. We had the Tip Tree afternoon tea - fantastic.

The Jolly Sailor
Jolly Sailor, Basin Rd, Heybridge Basin, MaldonLovely little waterside pub that serves very nice food. On this occasion we just popped in for a coffee after a long dog walk. Have eaten here before and have thoroughly enjoyed it. They serve whitebait too which is my favourite pub snack.

The Old Ship
Lock Hill, Heybridge Basin, MaldonWe recently ate in the pub, and wow!! I’ve eaten here before but had the fish and chips this time. The fish is the best battered fish I’ve eaten anywhere. The batter wasn’t greasy at all and the fish was beautifully thick and cooked perfection. Honestly, I’ve told everyone about it!
