The Chameleon Cafe

A really chilled atmosphere, with friendly staff and lots of fun. We enjoyed some breakfast, coffee and a paint. Time slipped by we were having so much fun and were so relaxed. Would definitely recommend!

Meadow Hill Coffee Shop

Never been to the area before so went off Google reviews to find a coffee shop.
I'm a coffee lover so the coffee wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, asked for a flat white and there was way too much milk, but the place was nice enough.
My other half had a breakfast which was lovely and I had cake ? of which there was lots to choose from.
Felt more like a tea shop, with the tablecloths etc.
Bought a scotch egg to take home and it was lovely.

Perfect bar with amazing staff, atmosphere, wines and food. The organic wines and orange wines are great and something you won’t find anywhere else. More than just wines, beers and cocktails are amazing too

Manze's Pie and Mash

Just had my first taste of Manze’s Pie & Mash at Gt Dunmow and I am very impressed. The guy running the shop was extremely friendly and was an excellent host. As for the food, the pies were nice and full with great tasting meat and a lovely pastry. Real mash, and plenty of it, and perfectly balanced liquor. Can’t wait for my second visit.

Pride of Sylhet

Amazing food and service, just don't ask for a Phaal, it will be the hottest thing you've ever eaten and you will regret it the following morning! 5 uncontrollable bowel movements from the pits of hell is too much for any person. Heed my warning.

Was able to buy a new table tennis net which was great, because the original manufacturer of my table no longer exists. They specified exactly what net was right for each table so it was very eas to make sure I got the right one.

Spent a Random Nite in The Annex behind Pub for No reason only because I could. Cosy room with very fresh linen . went in the pub to eat was great value 3 Courses for £15 Pensioners Special . Small Fish was larger than expected really enjoyed The Food even the Landlord trying to wind me up I don’t look old enough to Qualify ? Friendly Staff Nice area of North Essex lot More rural than rest of the Country .

Doug is an absolute treasure! Scampi fries were to die for, excellent flavour. Lovely selection of beers, maybe have some numbers on draught if I was to be picky.

Pitstop burger van & cafe

Such a good burger! The fries were fresh and the aussi burger tasted great. Would recommend for sure! Even though we only had the meat burger and the chicken one.

Galatea Brasseries

Visited with a group of friends this evening. A first time visit for most of us, and we weren't disappointed. Amazing food. I had the calamari main, and lotus cheesecake for afters, I would 100% recommend all of it. Lovely coffee with .y pudding. Everyone left with full bellies. Lots to choose from on the menu. Great atmosphere and fab service

Great place to meet up with friends for a meal. Varied menu. Food and service were excellent. In fact, going back there in a few weeks with another group of friends.

The Boars Head, Dunmow.

Geraldine and Patrick have been wonderful to my partner and I. We approached them looking for a quaint, traditional pub for our wedding reception and I cannot be more grateful for how we were treated and our experience with them. The decorations were wonderful, the buffet had been displayed beautifully, and the staff were amazing. Absolutely recommend their services for hire/events, and even just for a quick pint when passing by! So lucky to have a local pub, with wonderful and kind regulars in our town. Thank you all again and looking forward to seeing you again soon!

The Fruit Bowl

Very impressed. I came for a steak dinner with my partner which was absolutely delicious. We both had the sirloin and it was the best one we’ve ever had. The service from the staff was fantastic and intimate. The restaurant as a whole had such a warming atmosphere and it was an overall positive, cozy experience. We will definitely be coming back and recommending to all our friends and family.

Jalsa Ghar Indian Restaurant

Celebrated my son’s birthday there on a Thursday evening with most of his siblings and their Partners. The restaurant couldn’t have been more helpful as four of the group were coming a distance to be there and booking the table was an approximate time. Food good as usual and atmosphere was fabulous. They helped with the surprise birthday cake presentation and were attentive all evening without being stifling. Great value and good restaurant. Thank you

Occasionally we have a fish and chip supper from Edwards. The fish is always delicious and along with the chips, cooked fresh. The delivery service is an added bonus.

Great Dunmow Chinese Takeaway

Always value for money fish and chips. I think they may be under new management or at least have a new chef as they've gone from half empty to twice busy.
In spite of waiting while they took a £250 order on the phone, I was still served quickly and didn't have to wait long. Thanks.

Use this regularly and always had a great meal , decent portions not over stuffed with bit n bobs to pack it out like some places and vey reasonably priced. Meal has always compared to restaurant that does take

Domino's Pizza - Great Dunmow

I don’t really do Domino’s but must let others know about this.
I eat meat but also can’t eat dairy cheese due to intolerance. For some reason their computer system won’t allow them to place vegan cheese “non-dairy” on the pizza.

I had to have the cheese removed from the pizza. In order to have meat on it. I was exhausted trying to reason with the humans working here.

My next visit will involve louder words and an intimidating glare!
