B1057, Cornish Hall End, Finchingfield, BraintreeVisited for the 1st time in a very long time, and was really please to see the enthusiasm of one of the new owners (found this out after a quick chat!). Very welcoming, promising menus coming from a new chef, and outstanding pizzas from a local pizza truck, very pleasantly surprised!
Will definitely be returning, the only reason for the 0 star on the food was because of the food wasn't from the pub... but I have confidence that's going to change very soon! 5 stars for the pub, atmosphere, welcoming staff, and visiting pizza truck!
Side note... given its location on a bikers/drivers road that so many locals will know between villages, you'll be pleased to know both the owners have a passion, liking, and enthusiasm toward motorsport fans.. thought I'd add that, as it is a prime location for passing 'spirited' riders and drivers to stop for a quick refreshment break.
