Restaurants in Castle Hedingham

The Bell Inn, Castle Hedingham
10 St James's St, Castle Hedingham, HalsteadThis fantastic pub has been running since at least 1590, making it the 24th oldest pub in the UK! The current owners have been running it for 57 years and the place has bags of character befitting it's great history. The timber beams, low ceilings and traditional features are utterly charming and there are loads of interesting and comfortable spaces, including a traditional games room, outside terrace, small garden, and two-sided bar with a room to hang out in on two sides. Stocked with a wide range of excellent local ales and beers, and better yet a delicious and wide ranging menu. The food was really good and so was the atmosphere, well worth our 1 hour trip from London
