Grounded At The Forge - Coffee Lounge
The Forge, Lewes Rd, Ringmer, LewesFour of us stopped here during a bike ride around Sussex and I’m glad we did. With a great menu, a vast selection of cakes and very good coffee, it was the perfect pit-stop.
The boys who had the smashed avocado on toast had no complaints and the sticky toffee biscoff cake slice was very good. One of the boys was vegetarian and had no issues ordering something he liked.
In addition, the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly.
If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping here for a bite to eat or a quick espresso.

The Cock Inn
Old Uckfield Rd, LewesGreat lunch yesterday - we had the belly pork and the steak and ale pie - no room for dessert. We do pub lunches a lot and they're often a bit meh but this was just so yummy and satisfying, and not over-priced. Lovely people too.

The Green Man
Lewes Rd, Ringmer, LewesBest chicken, leek and bacon pie I've ever had. Big chunks of chicken and bacon. You can taste the leek. A good portion too. Could have a better range of ale but Sussex Best was OK.

Anchor Inn
Lewes Rd, Ringmer, LewesMy wife and I stopped here by chance, on our way to Plymouth. The service was superb! My wife ordered the ham and mustard sandwich. I ordered the sausage sandwich. The server, Hollie, was friendly and efficient. I asked if i could switch salad for soup but was told I couldn’t really do that. But then, Hollie brought a small bowl of wonderful butternut squash soup out. Full marks to Hollie for her service skills, smile and friendly nature! The atmosphere was wonderful and the restaurant was clean. We definitely recommend the Anchor Inn! The sandwiches were huge on a wonderful bread from a local bakery. They ended up being supper as well as lunch.
