Deanland Wood Park, Golden Cross, HailshamSunday lunch, what an absolute delight.
The restaurant and bar is bright, airy, extremely comfortable and a warm welcoming atmosphere. The Sunday carvery was full of choice, the food was hot, a good selection, well presented and flavoursome. Desserts were absolutely delicious.
The people behind the bar, the chef, the servers were so very friendly and welcoming.
Easy and plenty of parking too.
This was our first visit and we will definitely return… x

The Berwick Inn
Station Rd, Berwick, PolegateHave been to the Berick inn many times. The welcome is always warm, the service is always good and usually the food is excellent. But today I had the roast beef, I found it a poor cut, the potatoes lacked crisp of any description, the seasonal veg (They might call al dente) was barely warm . the Yorkshire pudding was raw inside. Two roasts, a side of cauliflower cheese, a merlot, a corona and two coffees was not worth the £60+ paid. having said that...there pies were perfect in the past, shame about the roasts.

Yew Tree Inn
Chalvington Ln, HailshamGreat country pub with lots of space for kids, dogs and cyclists! Hidden between the A27 and A22 - this little gem offers a wide range of drinks, pizza kitchen and traditional pub food. On a sunny day great to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere.

The Plough
Coldharbour Rd, Upper Dicker, HailshamAlways our go to place for a date night! Sunday we had our first roast at the plough, we are usually fussy when it comes to a roast it’s hard to find somewhere that does it well! We absolutely loved it! So delicious, fresh and come out piping hot!! Thankyou! We will be back! As always we love the food and service you provide!
