The Bay Horse

We had the roast beef and pork, absolutely gorgeous! The puddings are divine too, the staff are very attentive without being too much. We were only visiting for the day otherwise we'd definitely return! Highly recommend, I'd book to be sure of a table. Dog friendly, well worth a visit, clean toilets. I guarantee you won't be disappointed! Thanks for an all round lovely experience much appreciated! X

Wicstun Tea Room

A proper Cafe (rare enough these days), great food, gluten free/dietary options, friendly atmosphere and clean. If you are in Market Weighton then I can definitely recommend this splendid local establishment. Run professionally, service with a smile and great value. We are never disappointed. Fantastic tea cakes.

Vegetarian options: I'm not a vegetarian, but the veggie breakfast is lovely.

As are the standard meals, great beef curry and homemade pies, fantastic tea cakes and tasty home made casseroles which are perfect for this time of year

Vegetarian options: I can always find vegetarian food to eat. Not sure about vegan. Would recommend ringing to check beforehand.

Parking: There is free parking outside the establishment. Might be busy in the high season.

Gelato Lounge

Nice little bar downstairs, well worth popping in for a few drinks and the design your own pizzas are really nice, had a few different combinations and all of them were fantastic, upstairs has a nice booth seating area and another smaller bar

Seven Spices

Me and 3 friends went here tonight after a wolds walk.
Service was given by a young guy. He was 100 per cent. Food was served at expected intervals. He was very attentive, lovely, not intrusive but enough to care.
Food was awesome. Can't Complain. Delicious. Best I've had for ages. 2 of my friends had the vindaloo and naga curry. They went red, tears down their faces and appeared in a strange area of euphoria. They were so happy with their meal.
Small restaurant area which meant it was more intimate.
I told the waiter that if I was in the area I would defo come in again. Top place!!
Very reasonable prices.

Coffee Cake Create - Pottery Studio & Coffeehouse

Popped into this cafe a few weeks ago whilst in the area and had a lovely experience. The owner was very friendly and attentive. The latte was lovely and we will return in a couple of weeks when back in the area. Bonus that it is also dog friendly.

New Fortune Take Away

( New fortune/ Happy dragon)My personal experiences with this takeaway have been great! Recently I ordered the teriyaki noodle box and the mushroom chow mein, the value for money you get! Noodle box was very heavy could feed 2- 3 people easily (the beef in this was lovely, tender). The chow mein came in a big round plastic pot, very hot. If the noodles also came in a plastic pot rather than a card one it'd be that even more better. My grandma ordered the beef in black bean sauce with green peppers (she rarely orders takeaway) and gave it a 10/10.

Golden Star Market Weighton

Extensive menu, slightly more expensive than I am used to at my normal Chinese. Food good quality piping hot and they are happy to remove items from meals if not liked. Staff pleasant.

Bengal Brasserie

Staff are always very welcoming and the food is good value and consistent .

Vegetarian options: My sister is vegetarian and they will always accommodate according

Parking: Parking at the back of the restaurant but not managed by the restaurant check time limit.

Happy Dragon

Have now tried all 3 Chinese take aways in MW, the other two being Golden Star and Mr Chu's. Based on having the same meal from all 3 Happy Dragon is the best of them. The best Chinese I've ever had is Paddy Fields in Haxby, whilst Happy Dragon is the best in MW it's still not as good as Paddy Fields, which sets the bar for me.

Café On the Wolds

People asked me why l like the wolds cafe well it's pet friendly it's absolutely ? spotless and food is fresh well presented in a friendly atmosphere service is good you wait longer if you want fresh food and a nice summer garden

Good food, Friendly staff and short queue times, my son (toddler) likes to order his food, the staff show great patience when they interact with him, its great to see them treat him as a customer.

Pizza Planet

Just had a special kebab it serve 3 of us and there still some left it was amazing best kebab we have had in a long time. Fast friendly delivery to would highly recommend

The Italian Job

Got a family size kebab delivered to Pocklington from their shop in Market Weighton and the food was still piping hot and delicious. I used to get my kebabs from there when I lived there so thought I’d give them a try and pay the extra delivery charge and wasn’t disappointed. Thank you staff

Domino's Pizza - Market Weighton

I had a problem with my payment and was owed a refund. The after sales customer service was outstanding. Usually when trying to get money back from anyone it's a huge struggle. In this case it was quick and easy absolutely no fuss. Thank you for the excellent service.
