About Union Mash-Up

Union Mash-Up is a modern rustic style bar with a wide variety of beer, craft ales, lagers, and cider. From the outside, it looks quite small, but it goes back a long way and is quite spacious. There is an upstairs function room and outside seating at the front. The food coming out of the kitchen looked very nice, and the staff are very welcoming. The bar is dog friendly. The venue has a cosy vintage interior with quirky decor and features from the Victorian era, creating a unique vibe. There are seating options upstairs, with boho-chic retro-inspired furniture, such as an ornate velour Parisian-style settee and chairs. The outside seating is a sturdy bench style, providing an ideal spot for a drink and a cigarette. The bar attracts a varied clientele, from hipsters to students and more mature drinkers, who frequent the special music nights, including the popular Mojo Club R&B night, which features classic rhythm and blues, soul, and a pinch of ska and garage from top-class DJs and up-and-coming artists. The bar offers a good selection of continental strong lagers on draft, as well as a variety of fruit ciders and premium spirits, all at reasonable prices. The venue has an easy pay card scanner system. While there is a cover charge for the Mojo R&B night, it is competitively priced compared to similar events elsewhere.
