I've visited this place several times now, and it's always delicious! The all-you-can-eat option for up to 90 minutes is fantastic. The salad bar is impressive, and the selection of sauces is great; my favorite is the spicy mayo. Who doesn't love a variety of meats like steak, chicken, pork, lamb, and more? However, I would say that the minted lamb doesn’t come around as often as it should. I usually get everything else twice before it arrives, but when it does, it’s exquisite!

Decent friendly pub , we visited on a buyagift voucher and we had a 2 course meal for two with drinks. We were really impressed by the friendless of the staff and the locals.
The pub was quite but not overly busy whilst we were there between 5-7 pm.
The food was decent and we very much enjoyed our visit. We will definitely be returning, thank you ?

We ate there this evening, we had the thin ribeye steak. The food was awful, I am not quite sure what it was supposed to be, the salad was overloaded in pesto, the potatoes seemed like frozen off the shelf. Both people left a full plate of food, the restaurant was not interested in dissatisfied customers. We raised this to the server who's response was that we can't do anything. To be clear both people left two full dinners (despite comments on our review).

At a 30th anniversary meal for friends .Food was very good and quick service considering there were over thirty of us and extra diners in other areas of the restaurant .Would recommend a visit and sample the good food .

Me and my wife were lucky enough to stumble across The Brain Jar last year. We were so blown away by the cocktails we decided to stay in Hull an extra night just so we could enjoy more of their drinks and play their Sunday quiz.

We’ve both been to a lot of cocktail bars around the world and this place surpasses all of them by FAR. Every single cocktail was superb but the Key Lime Pie had us in a chokehold…unreal!

Ended up coming back for a second day in the row. Having seen the masala dosa on a Facebook post whilst working in the area my husband treated me to a weekend away. After a five hour journey we couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. The food was amazing, although fully booked the service was great, nothing was too much trouble.
Decided to go back tonight to try more things on the menu, very authentic Indian food, at such reasonable prices. Definitely worth the journey.

Went this afternoon for a quick meal with a friend before having to be somewhere.

Food was lovely served and made within half an hour, it was quiet but it was a quiet night in town overall, it’s clean and decorated well, the staff were kind and gave enough time for us to chose from menu, I had come in before my friend as was waiting outside in cold and her bus wasn’t too far away, I waited for her inside at a table, they had no problems with that.

Was a pleasant experience and lots of choices on menu, I am hoping to come back soon and even for a birthday start of next year.

Came to dope burger with my mate and got two burgers, 2 portions of chips, 2 drinks and a dip all for £25. Which was very good value, as we were both full after it. I got the scotch bonnet burger as I like spicy food and it was fantastic. Good quality meat, salad and bun.
The staff were also very accommodating and had some decent tunes on which made me experience even better.
Overall thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely come back.

Great local family boozer. And anyone's welcome. We had a meal for four and all enjoyed everything. Unfortunately, we had to leave as our son had a trapped nerve in his neck, which was upsetting him.. The wonderful bar lady brought us some icepack for his neck, which helped. And offered out food to be boxed. Which was so kind of her. We've been before and definitely retuning. Thanks all.

We hired the function room for a baby shower. It’s a beautiful room and accommodated roughly 30 people easily. The Minerva catered the buffet for us. From start to finish everything went smoothly. The staff were so friendly and professional; the food outstanding. We had guests from out of town staying overnight in the Premier Inn so the location of The Minerva was ideal. Would not hesitate to come here again.

Came in by accident as it was at the end of an arcade with no sign on the entry of the arcade. Climbing the stairs to the seating area was quite a challenge for my partner who struggled with osteoarthritis of the knee. The food was mostly great. They did a special of 30 pounds for 3 tapas when we visited, the duck dish is certainly worth more than 10 pounds!!! Good wine choices.

We 9nce rangbto check they were serving something specific (the steak fondue-it was amazing-we miss it!) as my son wanted it for his birthday tea. When we arrived they wished him happy birthday and had ringfenced us one so they didn't run out before we got there. We went again tonight. As always the staff were brilliant- cheery, friendly and efficient. Food arrived very quickly and was absolutely delicious. I had the steak flatbread which was loaded for the price and very tasty. With the Blue Light discount it was cheaper than most last food places and 100 times nicer. We will be back next time.we are that side of the bridge.

This is one of the best bars I've been to. The atmosphere was very good and value for money even better. The flat bread I had that had the braised brisket was amazing. I drive past this place every day and didn't even realise how amazing this place was until today.
Such an extensive and impressive menu especially if you are wanting something a bit special.
We had the breakfast and Wow it was absolutely beautiful (I was abit greedy and ordered the 'ultimate one' breakfast, which I didn't manage to eat it all but gave it a good go) Everything tastes so fresh and the Sausages were so nice. Even the quality of the toast deserves a mention.
The latte was so nice and lovely and hot.
Let's not forget about the staff, such pleasant and friendly staff who made sure we had everything we wanted and even though they were busy made sure each table was well looked after. It was a pleasure talking to them all.
Cant wait to go again to try more from the menu.

A really neat little location thats slightly off the beaten path in Hull with some very nice dishes, a small but well made dim-sum menu and food thats both served quite quickly but with generous portion sizes.

If I have any downsides, the menu itself, while expansive, is a bit on the messy and confusing side. Theres also one or two items that dont eat quite as well as the others (such as the bamboo wraps having a very gelatinous sauce). The rest ordered though such as the Char Sui pork buns, the Honey lemon chicken and the Udon noodle soup bowls are very much worth the money spent on them.

I was promised a free Ice cream if I generated a positive Google review, I assume that’s because they have had a drumming on poor reviews of recent. My opinions are as follows; The food is really good, seating arrangements need more family oriented tables as there is only a couple so unless you want toddlers sitting 4ft in the air or on a toddler seat under the table please be mindful it’s more catered for a couple of people rather than a family of 4 for example. The restaurant is clean and tidy, they’ve toilets can only be as clean as the previous person who used it.

The arcade and child’s play area has taken some heavy criticism of late for both cleanliness and safety. I have to disagree with those remarks, I think Wendy’s offer great facilities especially with it being a free option for families! The play area is a really great touch. I would say the general public need to reflect on their own behaviours and assist in keeping it clean by not taking in food and drink and if you do, clean up after like a humans should.

All in all, I think Wendy’s is great.

I visited Sleepers on Newland avenue recently with some old friends and we had a fantastic night. The atmosphere, food and service was amazing from beginning to end. I went there today with my two dogs after being refused entry to another dog friendly cafe the other end of newland because they wouldn't let my rottweiler in but the staff here were amazing, they reassured me that all breeds are welcome and gave my dogs a good fuss and a drink. Dunedin was one of many wedding venues we visited and from the first visit we know it was the one for us. From the staff, to the grounds, the food and details inside the venue we knew we had to get married there.

The staff were always a delight and really helped me pull everything together. They were so organised and have such a calming/friendly nature, they made us feel so at ease. They really do care about everyone who walks through that front door and want everyone involved to have the best day possible.

Dunedin is a stunning venue that allows for all of your favourite people to be in one place without it seeming too big or too small. We made great use of the grounds during the day and evening with the beautiful weather we had and the photos captured that day were gorgeous with all of the greenery. A big part of our wedding day was ensuring our dog could play her part in it. Dunedin were so welcoming with her and I think she had the best day out of everyone making use of the large garden and her balls.

We cannot recommend Dunedin enough if you want an intimate and well cared for wedding. They really do go above and beyond to make your day the most special one for you yet!

Thank you all so much for all of your hard work and efforts in giving us the best day of our lives.

My first experience of Ethiopian food tonight. I wasn't disappointed; absolutely delicious!! I had Lentil Soup to start, the Vegetable Platter and Ethiopian Tea to finish my meal. All the food was fresh, tasty and very moreish, I can't recommend Ethiopa Restaurant & Bar enough. I was so full after my dinner too!!
The lady who cooks, serves and does everything else, was absolutely lovely. She recommended what to have as a vegetarian and was very attentive, even though she was very busy.
I wish I lived closer to Hull, as I would definitely make this place a regular eating place!!

Vegetarian options: Have the Vegetarian Platter....... you won't need anything else!!
You get "a bit of everything" plus Ethiopian Bread, so an excellent way to try Ethiopian Food. ?
