Had lunch today ( 14/2/24) The staff were excellent, great customer service, so attentive.The food was absolutely amazing, starter main and sweet. Some of the most delicious food I have had. Cold drink and a cappuccino £30.00...Just to complete the review, it's nit my first time there, it won't be my last and I would very highly recommend a visit...Parking: Car park to the back of the building free of charge, two minute walk

The cookhouse

Another excellent breakfast/lunch stop. We frequently travel off route just to stop here. The Friday special pie is some of the best we've had. Coffee and a butty has just made a grumpy driver very happy.

The Canteen Bar & Kitchen

Always a fantastic night, never disappointed with the food either. Lovely couple who own and run the place, they make you welcome and the service is top notch.Keep a look out for the music events, great gigs with free tickets! Also, when you book tickets they automatically reserve you a table. They offer take away bottles of their brews so a selection of beers does make a good gift pack ?

1189 Bar & Kitchen

The 1189 restaurant was one of the best things about staying at Walworth Castle - the food was top quality, some of the best I’ve ever had when staying at a hotel. Staff really helpful and friendly too

Betty's Fish Shop

Betty's is a great fish and chip shop and the best around the area by far. The owner is great and friendly with really nice food. Always cooked well with the great taste.

China Chef

Just moved to the area so thought we would give this place a go, I have to say what a brilliant Chinese, there chips are the best I’ve tried in a Chinese, and big portions, absolutely fantastic and the girl working out front jezzz she is good and fast and professional, definitely will be

Karen's plaice

Fish & Chips were absolutely fantastic! A bit disappointing no tartar sauce available, only an offer to buy a jug of mayonnaise lol. Regardless, the service was prompt and the fish delicious. Chips were a 6/10, could have been a bit more crispy. Would definitely return.

Eden Grange Restaurant - The Hidden Gem

We haven’t been for years. Very surprised, didn’t expect meal being so delicious. Cod n chips was out of this world, scampi was delicious. Drinks were very reasonably priced, staff very friendly. Definitely coming back soon.

Frydayz Of Shildon

Fantastic, so friendly and the food is lovely. Only tried the fish and chips with curry sauce so far, but I'm certain everything else on the menu will be great too.

Sarah's Plaice

Just had my good Friday fish and chips and what can I say apart from mmmmmmm . This was the nicest fish and chips I've had in a long time . was unbelievably fresh and the batter was perfect, you will be hard pushed to find better.

I love going hear as it is cheep as every thing as gone up in price. The only downside to the cafe is it shuts at 3 wich is quite early but still grate foodVegetarian options: Veggie miburger.

The Royal George Tavern

Great pub very Friendly. Management was excellent and welcoming.Can't fault it. Be nice if it did do food or bar snacks. Would be really great then. Could be a goldmine.

Lee's Chinese Restaurant

This place had a legacy amongst the locals (and those who traveled from afar) - highly recommended but not sure if it’s closed now - if so it’ll just remain in our thoughts as the best Chinese takeaway in County Durham!

The Main Place - Pizza & Kebab

Unique Pizza

Late meal, stopped off for a bit of a treat. Shared a pizza which was delicious, chips were equally cooked to perfection. Will definitely be ordering again.Parking: No parking required as we had a 5 min walk .

Peking Chef

Our first time ordering from Peking Chef and we were very happy. Our order was delivered very quickly by a very pleasant lady, and the food was piping hot. Can recommend the Crispy Peking Duck and the Kung Po Chicken they were both delicious. Portions are quite big, and we got enough chips to feed a small army ? Plus free spring rolls and prawn crackers. Will certainly be ordering again. ?

Shildon Tandoori

Just ordered for the first time and WOW! Excellent chicken Korma, full of flavour and the onion rice was very tasty with fresh coriander. Super fast delivery aswell. Thank you for a lovely well cooked meal.

Best curry in shildon in my opinion, still has room for improvement.Madras is lovely but has a lasting taste like no other I’ve ever had and I cannot put my finger on what it is, but it’s not in a positive way, not enough to ruin the dish though.Don’t like the fact they do thin chips/fries either.Maybe that’s my fault for expecting Indian chips.7/10

We were walking by and called in to ask if we could get a takeaway, we were welcomed in by the most wonderful young lady , we sat in comfort in a warm lovely environment , I have to say the meal was amazing and we will definitely be going back but this time to dine in , why bother with the dishes , plus I know we will get first class service ?Thank you xVegetarian options: I had an amazing vegetable korma , it was gorgeous

First time using this takeaway. Food was delivered quickly and hot. Garlic chips are amazing, garlic chapatis too. The only weird thing was chunks of cooked lemon in my main and a piece in madras sauce. Never had this in a curry before, it doesn't work for me. Its expensive too.
