Thai Terminal 1 is a hidden gem. A new favourite for me. Sparkling atmosphere, absolutely tremendous food, soooo fresh and tasty, cooked from scratch by the Thai chef, great front of house staff.
Would definitely recommend.. I can't wait to return.

Last night, we enjoyed dining at the Bay Horse in Hurworth. It was an exceptional experience.
The ambience sets the stage for a perfect evening, and the decor strikes a harmonious balance between elegance and comfort.
The food was outstanding. Each dish features fresh, high-quality ingredients that burst with flavour. What truly made the evening special was the exceptional professionalism of the staff. They were attentive, well-informed about the menu, and genuinely passionate about providing excellent service. Their knowledge and guidance made us feel well cared for and informed throughout the evening.
It was a great meal in a beautiful setting. 10 out of ten!

Salt is absolutely marvellous. It's hard to describe the vibe of the menu, but you'd probably say "elevated street food". They have offering from around the globe, my usual favourite being the tacos ofcourse :)

Portions can be a little small for the price, but the quality is undeniable, proven in the taste!

The building itself is spectacular, with the full aspect front window, and the large mezzanine level, which gave an almost private-dining experience.

Drinks/cocktail menu was small but provided exactly what you'd expect and need. Off menu offerings were also catered to.

Oh, and there's a swing seat in the ante-room.

A perfect venue for something a little more unique, in a town almost plagued with average establishments.

I've had two Currys from Masala Art now, one dining in with friends and a takeaway tonight. On both occasions it has been SUPERB. Prior to this we had gone off curry as recent places we had ordered from, all tasted the same and fairly bland. Not here though. All meals were excellent again tonight with real flavour. Friendly & excellent service to boot. Highly recommended, looking forward to my next one!

Brilliant high-quality but affordable food (can get a pizza, chips and drink for around £15), friendly staff, accepts cash. Much better than the pizza store in the indoor market, will definitely visit again.

The only issue is the fan is very loud (so it is hard to hear what the people at the front desk are saying) and the room doesn't have much ventilation (and is fairly warm due to the pizzas being cooked).

Food was quickly served (was eating alone on my visit) I had pate starter, and Pollo Diane with Med rice for main. Superb would sum it up. Ive never had a better Diane sauce in 20 odd years! Staff very friendly, check on everything around and not standing chatting. Highly recommend this Gem. Thankyou. Heading home back to North Wales I will remember this place.

Recently booked the private dining room for a family meal after my Mother’s funeral. We ordered the set Tapas menu at £25 per head. Initially we were worried there wouldn’t be enough food so we added some bread baskets on - that was a big mistake - there was so much food! We were all stuffed and then they brought out further dishes of paella! We couldn’t fit it all in! The slow braised beef in Rioja and the Chicken Diane were particularly popular dishes. The croquettes of the day were sublime and properly cooked with béchamel rather than mashed potato. They even offered to wrap it all up for us to take home. I’d also recommend their house Tempranillo, really reasonably priced for a restaurant and delicious! Service was polite and professional and appropriately paced. Really thankful to the team for making our family meal so lovely on such an important day.

Best place for a curry in Darlington. The small things really matter, I collected my order and couldn’t help but notice how clean it was outside the shop, the side alley was spotless, which tells me they really care about their business and the community.

Inside the shop it’s very clean and the aroma of the spices and dishes they’re preparing in the kitchen are just incredible.

The lamb is so tender and the gravy is very rich, and delicious. The daal was perfect, soft and seasoned to perfection. Garlic naan, Cheese naan fresh and soft all the way through. They gave us popadoms and dips, which was a nice touch. Everything was pipping hot, and the containers filled to the brim.

Lovely meal, will be returning, and highly recommended to others. Enjoy!

This is the genuine middle eastern falafel wrap, the cuisine is outstanding. Terrific range of vegetarian options. I had falafel wrap. I've eaten falafels, for a decade in middle east. This is as close as the real item.

popped in for a quick coffee as was a little early for an appointment later that day. coffee was nice and fair priced. what really hit me soon as I went in was the 'warm atmosphere'. It just felt a very welcoming place without being overbearing. Would love another visit, but would love to bring my tiny rescue dog and not sure if that allowed. anyway, nice place and would recommend it

Dropped in today for lunch and what a surprise. Greeted at the door by the manageress and shown to our table. Menus presented..choice of four starters,four mains and four deserts.Bit limited for choice but still very acceptable given three courses priced at only £ 10 ! Young students took the orders and served the meals….got to say they were all proficient and very friendly although a few nerves could only be expected. Onto the food …Prawn cocktails ( tasty ) Haddock, beef dripping chips, mashed minted peas,and tartare sauce ( best we’ve had anywhere ! ) ..sticky toffee pudding ( ok ) Excellent large glass of blush rose wine £ 4.50. What amazing value. Restaurant was very quiet probably due to the stormy weather but I got the distinct impression that despite the excellent operational side the restaurant would ,without doubt, increase its business exponentially if only the college invested in a programme of marketing.Simple things like a large sign on the busy main road advertising the restaurant.Once visited word of mouth would fill the place. Going back on Thursday for the “Burns” Lunch. Well done to all the managerial staff and the friendly nervous students. Brill

Perfect one night stay in between Christmas and NY. Christmas decorations are beautiful, spa garden at sunset with cocktails was memorable, superior room in the old hall was amazing and the food (breakfast and dinner) was outstanding. Expensive but worth every penny! Staff were the best I have ever experienced at a hotel. Polite, helpful, non intrusive and totally customer focused. Highly recommend and did not want to leave.
