from walking in door staff were very friendly and polite.all areas were clean and cosey. we had 3 course meal and food was outstanding could not fault anytging.amazing place would.

The Indian Cottage

It's probably the best Indian takeaway ive had in the past few years. food tasty and piping hot, even though we are 15min drive away.
Definitely recommend

The Burn Pub & Kitchen

50/50 on the food. It was either really tasty and a large portion or smallish portion without much taste. Staff weren't as friendly or efficient as they could have been.

Wheelchair accessibility: Slight door threshold to get over but easily done.

Quick Panda Express

Absolutely unreal takeaway, it's the second time me have ordered from here and the food is amazing. Ordered 1/4 crispy duck, mini salt and pepper box, 2x Singapore fried rice, spare ribs and a large bottle of soft drink. It was all hot, fresh and flavoured to perfection and well worth the £45 including delivery. Staff are always really friendly on the phone and so are the delivery drivers, definitely a worthy of 5 stars.

Golden Fry Crook

We have been to Golden Fry few times now and we really enjoy it every time. The fish and chips, Pizzas , freshly made in house-sauces are really great.Best service , Amazing staff and management !!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pizzas are very tasty.

I recently had the pleasure of ordering from UK’s Pizzeria, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. Here’s a breakdown of my thoughts:

Food Quality: 4.5/5
The pizzas were simply superb. The crust was perfectly baked—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The toppings were fresh and generous, with a delightful balance of flavors. I tried the Margherita and the Pepperoni, and both were exceptional. The cheese was gooey and rich, complementing the tangy tomato sauce beautifully.


The service was prompt and efficient. My order arrived hot and on time, within the promised delivery window. The staff were courteous and professional when I called to place my order.

UK’s Pizzeria offers a wide range of pizzas, from classic options to more adventurous choices. They also have a decent selection of sides and desserts. However, I would love to see more vegetarian and vegan options in the future.

The prices are quite reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. While not the cheapest option around, the quality of the ingredients and the care put into the preparation make it worth every penny.

The Duke of York Inn

My wife and I were travelling back to Coventry from Hexham yesterday when we called here for a bite to eat.
We both decided to have the 10oz sirloin steak and without doubt it was probably the best steak meal we've ever had. This pub is a gem and immaculate throughout which together with a friendly greeting from the owner/person in charge made the whole experience fantastic.

The Stags Head

This place has changed beyond all recognition. The whole pub has been transformed by a massive refurbishment. They now allow well behaved dogs and children in and serve lovely, tasty food at a great price. We took our little dog along for a visit and enjoyed a meal and drinks in a lovely, friendly atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.

Cafe J's

Lunchtime snack turned into full plate. Baked potato with cheese savoury and salad. Beautiful. Also corned beef slice and beans.once again plentyful. This was recommended by a local as we stopped for coffee during pandemic. Second visit Would I recommend Definitely. Use council car park across road in square as parking restricted to half hour.

The Carriage

The most friendly servers so polite and friendly We just had the best Steak Pie with suet pastry on top. Just about to tuck into Treacle Pudding and custard. Would recommend to anyone who is visiting the area

The Joiners Arms

Fabulous Sunday lunches at a good price. Meat is always lovely and plentiful, plus really generous portions of veg. Staff are lovely. Would book a table as it is always busy when we have been.
