Stopped here for an afternoon lunch with our dog. Excellent service and very welcoming (Doggy biscuits and water provided). Food was exceptional, good quality and tasted amazing! Large selection of homemade cakes- we had to leave with 4! Highly recommend!

The gluten free breakfast are amazing, staff well educated about the menu and nothings too much trouble to feel included. we found out recently in the farm shop the butcher makes their own gf sausages and I must say the best I’ve had. They also have a wonderful gluten free rice crispy cake bar and they are amazing to eat so that’s a massive thank you from me.

I recently visited Blackhill Fish & Chips, and it was an outstanding experience! The fish was cooked to perfection—crispy, golden batter on the outside, with soft, flaky fish inside. The chips were equally impressive: thick-cut, perfectly seasoned, and deliciously fresh.

Really nice friendly place. Excellent service and a good atmosphere. It was busy but the starters came out quickly and the mains came out in a good time. Lots of staff on hand to help. The food was very nice. Would definitely go again.

We were staying in a local Airbnb place for my husbands 60th. We booked online for a party of 7 and were given a large square table in the back corner of the bar which was perfect. We had two small dogs with us and they were happy to be able to sit on the bench seats with us without being told to get down. The staff were all extremely friendly, the food was delicious and there were options for both vegan and coeliac - both needed for our party. Would definitely go back if we were int the area again - thank you for a lovely night

This is now called the Italian House and not the carpentry house which is advertised on Google. We didn’t know where or what to eat this evening so did a Google search. We haven’t visited this establishment before but I feel that we will defiantly return. The service was friendly and welcoming and the food was absolutely first class. I had a belly pork starter as I was hungry. This was made with a peppercorn sauce and was really nice. My decision to have the starter kind of backfired on my when my main arrived. It was at least a 10inch pizza, which I was not expecting! My partner had the Carbonara with Penne pasta. All of our food was absolutely first class. We can throughly recommend this restaurant.Vegetarian options: It’s an Italian so there is loads of vegetarian options

What can I say….booked a Table for Sunday Dinner but due to weather phoned & asked to change to a Takeout “not a problem” & can only give 5* review was absolutely delicious cooked to perfection & totally homemade….if I could’ve commented on the atmosphere of picking it up I would’ve given 5*s to be honest & looking forward to booking again be it sitting in or another Takeout if you haven’t tried it totally missing out

Myself and hubby were on a weekend away to visit Beamish and wanted somewhere nice to eat, we landed here and was so pleased we did! Ate here Friday and Sunday both times left stuffed and Friday I got to take my desert home. Food is gorgeous and very well presented. Price is spot on and atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend to anybody looking for decent food that doesn’t cost the earth. When we’re next back in Stanley we’ll be booking here straight away

Me and my partner went today lovely place the staff were really nice and fast service anything we asked the staff were lovely food was lovely 10/10 pizza was so fresh and pasta dish was very tasty couldn’t eat it all so they boxed it up for us to bring home and the afternoon meal deal was well worth the money can say we will be back again
