Chocolate Fayre
10 Horse Market, Barnard CastleThanks so much for making such a nice flat white. I got to pick the beans I wanted and it came with a little chocolate heart. We bought some macaroons for mothers day and I'm sure they're going to taste as good as they look. Great variety, must visit. I could be wrong but appears to be family run with a warm atmosphere, support your local businesses!

Bacon n coffee breakfast was lovely, normally I find Greg's coffee to taste burnt..but been told this is due to some stores not cleaning filters..anyway this one was lovely and bacon cooked great and not burnt

30 Market Pl, Barnard CastleCalled in on Sunday before a walk around the castle. We had chosen it because it was dog friendly. We all had the chicken Sunday lunch. Great quality and plenty on the plate. Would highly recommend, we all left feeling stuffed.Great atmosphere and friendly staff, our dog Charlie was welcomed too. Will definitely call in again on our next visit. Dave

The Four Alls
The Four Alls Inn, Ovington, Richmond7 of us visited on Saturday night and we all really enjoyed the ambience, service and food! We visited a couple of years ago too (we stay in Staindrop every couple of years) and this time returned with the rest of the family and still just as fantastic Highly recommended as a cosy country pub with well cooked delicious food!

Valentine's Restaurant
11 Galgate, Barnard CastleStaff were all friendly and helpful. Got the balance right for timings so we didn't feel rushed and also didn't have to wait ages for service either. Lots of inviting meals on the menu. Our starters and mains were very good, the dessert was a bit disappointing but not complaint worthy. I'd definitely go back to try some more of the inviting mains.

Romaldkirk, Barnard CastleThis place is like Faulty Towers run by Ken Dodd, inside the bar looks like they have been ransacked and probably hasn't been cleaned in a while, however Paul the landlord is completely bonkers and hilarious, if you love banter and are not offended easily then please visit, we spent hours here talking to Paul and some locals and laughed from the minute we got there until the minute we left, we will definitely be visiting again.

5B The Bank, Barnard CastlePicked up my back to school desert on Sunday last week, picked the chocolate sponge which was delicious, very light and the custard was perfect. Also got a couple of the hot chocolates for the trip back home and the totally hit the spot on a cold day. Highly recommend you pop in and grab a bit of something!

New Moor Farm, Walworth RdLots of flavours to chooses from. Open until 6pm. On a farm where there's a chance you could get up close to the cows. Play park. Plenty of parking and seats. Ice-cream was lovely, I went for black forest and rum and raisin and mam had the peach.

8 The Bank, Barnard CastleOkay.. so I wanted to have a cup of coffee around about 8pm on a Saturday night and walked about the whole centre and tumbled upon this Bistro. They were fully booked but the owner I believe, let me have a seat and offered me the coffee and their ginger loaf slice and hand to god .. this is one the best ginger bread I had. The coffee was perfect.The place is so quaint and cosy with good music and the most friendly staff.In the future I’m gonna be making reservations to this Bistro well in advance and I can’t wait to try their meals god!
