Good coffee and tea serve ( in a pot with a decent amountvof nilk to accompany). Didn't eat here but menu looked good. GF options available. Building accessible and some interesting bits to explore. Easily the best views from Swanage area. Friendly service. Will revisit.

Wimpy

Have been enjoying Wimpy burgers for over 50 years. In the mid 1970s I never could have imagined enjoying a Beyond Meat plant-based burger in a Wimpy - I didn't even know what a vegan was back then. Friendly service and a delicious vegan-friendly burger meal means that I will surely return soon...

We only stopped by for drinks this time, but the welcoming atmosphere and well-poured pints made a great impression. It’s clear that this is a well-loved local spot, with a lively yet comfortable feel. The menu looked tempting, so I’ll definitely be back to try the food next time. A solid choice if you’re in Swanage and looking for a proper pub experience!

I wanted to write a review about Greggs in Swanage because whenever we are there, whatever is going on, whether it is Carnival week or the middle of winter the staff are always there, open early and late, big smiles on their faces, really helpful. The place is always fully stocked and well run.

Golden Bengal

Food in seaside towns can often be hit and miss but I'm happy to say that the Golden Bengal is excellent on all counts. The staff are friendly, the menu extensive and the dishes both fresh and tasty. They really know how to deliver a tasty supper. One slight word of warning though - when a menu item is labelled as 'hot' then you'd better believe it!

A shining example of a pub. Great seating lovely views. Great beer, great snacks and pasties, or even a brownie.
Has a good selection of crisps and sides.

It even has its own museum which is interesting and worth a visit anyway.

A hidden gem! The decor may not initially draw you in but once inside it’s is a lovely welcoming atmosphere and the food is exceptionally good! We really enjoyed our meal there and will be raving about it until we visit the area again. Thank you to our lovely host and chef (who came to check in with us!). Real, delicious food. If you are in the area then it’s a must stop for dinner!

Gem of an independent restaurant tucked away behind the main street. The menu consists of bistro classics with an emphasis on local seafood: this can often mean mediocre standards or laziness in the kitchen, but not here. The cooking, presentation and service were a delight, with a real sense that the whole team were eager to please, even on a busy Saturday in August. Price point is very fair for the quality, wine mark-ups are reasonable and well worth seeking out: a restaurant that deserves to thrive.

Unfortunately food was not available when we visited but at the time we were only looking for a snack.
What a pub, not necessarily to everyone's taste but the atmosphere and the socialside with the barman/landlord (?) and locals was really welcoming.
The Ale was awesome, my first pint tasted so good it disappeared so quick I had to buy another. Even better it was in a dimple glass with a handle.
Best PUB I have been in for ages.

Tasty food. Good portion sizes. Particularly liked sweet and sour chicken sauce (Hong Kong style). Top tier. Tender beef in the curry. Masses of prawn crackers. Very good Chinese. Prepared quickly and effectively. V limited parking outside.Would order again.

The location is good with great views over Swanage bay, staff are friendly and helpful, the food is great but could be a little cheaper, a good selection of beers and cider , the only real negative was the lack of parking spaces, but there is a public car park nearby, all that said this is a lovely hotel for a weekend away or a longer stay ?.

What a little treasure! Stopped for a drink on my lunch break. Superb views, great chap behind the bar, loads of choice of bottled beers and cocktails, decent wine list. Didn't eat, however, looking at other dinners meals, all looked superb. Without doubt will bring the family back! Great stuff.
