I purchased an espresso machine and grinder a year ago (La Pavoni). After many inconsistent coffees ‘and getting to know my machine’ my wife arranged the barista course for my birthday.
The course teaches you the basic art of how to make coffee and how to adjust the flavour. You would think a coffee shop teaching people how to make coffee is counterintuitive, but I think this is a true reflection of their cause - to educate and have everyone drinking great coffee!
Thanks Alex. You have bettered our daily rituals!
If you enjoy making coffee at home, I highly recommend booking in.

The food itself was very nice and not at all greasy as it has been from some other places we have got a delivery from. There was plenty of it and at a good price. This was our first order from them but won't be our last! . Thankyou and keep up the good work.Parking: Car park next to shop is free after 6 pm.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm atmosphere after a long and tiring day. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that we felt welcomed and taken care of throughout our visit. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. Speaking of the menu, the selection of food and drinks was impressive! I tried their signature burger( ultimate and spicy) and it was cooked to perfection, juicy and bursting with flavor. The fries were crispy and complemented the meal perfectly. They also had a fantastic selection of real ales and I appreciated their local brews on tap. Live music added a great touch to the evening, creating a lively yet relaxed vibe. The combination of good food, drinks, and entertainment made for a memorable night. Overall, the half moon is a gem that offers great service, delicious food, and a welcoming environment. I can’t wait to return! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun and enjoyable evening out.

Long St, SherborneA beautiful and charming place to stay and relax. The rooms are nicely appointed and thoughtful prepared. Wonderful spaces to be in. Clean and warm and cozy rooms have a nice bathroom with big relaxing bathtub.

82 Cheap St, SherborneWhat a little jewel!! It a lovely, cozy epitome of a provincial town cafe cum tearoom. It is a little compact inside but that's largely down to the building it resides in and in no way detracts from the experience, however because of its size it does fill up very quickly at peak times.The menu is very extensive with more than enough to tempt any appetite, it's more light lunches and things of that ilk rather than blowout banquets, and the quality of the food was exemplary, more than enough of everything and very well cooked and presented, and the biggest bonus in this day and age, very affordable too! We will be going back again when we're next in town, but a wee word of advice, if you want a table for lunchtime, do as we did and book in advance!!

62 Cheap St, SherborneAn extremely friendly welcome at the end of an afternoon, by two lovely ladies. Visiting Sherborne with my husband, we were asked if we would like our tea in mugs or in a pot. Nothing was too much trouble, we felt very welcome and would thoroughly recommend this Cafe Nero.

Yeovil Road, SherborneI’m currently sat here inside the restaurant, having not even finished my meal yet and I am so so so impressed with this restaurant! The food (House Special Curry with Steamed Rice) is absolutely 10/10! Prices are reasonable as stated in other reviews and my food and drink were served to me within 10 minutes of ordering. The staff here are so welcoming, lovely lady at the bar and attending customers, and a lovely fella who served me my food. This place may be busy sometimes and get overwhelmed which is a shame, but this being my first visit I am extremely impressed! We are the only ones in here sat down having a meal and only two people have been in to pick up an order since we sat down which is a real shame. Lovely place would highly recommend!

The Station Cafe
Sherborne Railway Station, South Street, SherborneRegularly choose to grab breakfast here when going into Sherborne. As reviews have stated it’s a small cafe but easily the best breakfast and prices for this area. Personally I cannot understand the review saying the sausages and bacon are “tasteless”, I can only assume that reviewer was suffering from COVID and had no sense of taste as the bacon is always thick sliced and unmissable and the sausages are great, not seasoned/specialty sausages but they are better than many of the other venues I have visited. Breakfast options are great and are very filling, but if your in a rush a hot coffee and an excellent thick-cut bacon sandwich is an awesome choice to set you up for your trip.

As someone who prefers an unpretentious "Traditional Ale House" with excellent real ales and good straightforward food, on the basis of today's lunch this is the best pub I've ever been in. Our pints were spot on, and our meals were outstanding. A real gem of a discovery, only shortcoming is it's a tad over 200 miles from home!

Bridge Garage, Leigh, SherborneVisited this delightful little shop/cafe on Monday and had a cheese and ham toastie and a piece of fresh strawberries and cream sponge cake and a latte absolutely lovely the staff were very friendly helpful and attentive lovely little establishment.I visited again this afternoon while waiting for a tarmac lorry for coffee and cake I had a piece of absolutely delicious lemon drizzle cake and we were served by a very lovely young woman again very friendly and attentive would definitely visit again if in the area and would recommend to others

Staff were attentive throughout the night and we could not recommend this venue more highly for any clubs/organisations looking for a venue to host an event.
