The Salt Cellar

This place is located at the top of Gold Hill with beautiful views over the valley. It was a beautiful day so we sat on the benches outside to soak in the beautiful views. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The menu had plenty of of options and the food was really tasty. If you’re a tourist looking for the feel of England, then definitely come here!

La Fleur de Lys

Perfection on 4 plates! Our second visit to this excellent restaurant. The food, once again was a delight as much for the eyes as for the taste! The 4 of us had different starters and main courses , and each were delicious. The service was perfect, so was the atmosphere. Pleasant environment, staff and owners.

San Tonino Restaurant

What a wonderful find. Great food and excellent service inside a unique but retired house of worship. I couldn’t fault any part of our evening and it was nice not to be over charged like I’ve seen in other venues

The Benett Arms

We had 3 meals at the Benett arms over our weeks stay in the area. All were top-notch. The food was lovely and plenty of it. The chips were double cooked. The staff were very friendly and very welcoming. A must if you are in the area.

Nest

The place is really nice and the food is so delicious. I would suggest promoting the restaurant more as due to location, it is a bit hidden. The staff is so friendly and always making sure you have everything you need. Every time we come to Shaftesbury, we are making sure we are going to our favourite restaurant. ♥️

Gusto

The food was lovely. It was part of a party group I joined in with to celebrate a friends 80th birthday, which, while I was their, went very for everyone. We were all looked after, very well.

Parking: Part of the pubs grounds , so no props in parking.

3 Ivy Cross

A very comfortable stay indeed, I felt spoilt!!The surroundings from my beautiful bedroom to the lovely garden with full size trees & even unspoilt nature area right at the bottom with very nice views.What a breakfast, with homemade yogurt and jams, not to mention the full English all served in a dining room bathed in light, it was also nice to see your breakfast cooked infront of you. A very relaxed atmosphere.Many Thanks to Mike & Sally!!I do hope you managed to finish mowing the whole of the lawn Mike ?

Came today to celebrate my birthday and had a lovely lunch food was fantastic and sally was so kind helpful and smiley, she was also celebrating her birthday ? overall highly recommend fantastic value and beautifully cooked

Parking: We parked outside but there is parking to back no issue found very easy

Chutney's

Ordered a meal for my daughter's 17th birthday. Took 2 hours to get delivered as they had to recook it, due it being delivered to the wrong address and the person being dishonest. It was rectified and we all enjoyed the food. The manager and delivery guy was very apologetic. Would I order again? Yes I would.

The John Peel

Good value fried English breakfasts. Love the retro decor and staff are always friendly.
A little bit of a wait for food to arrive, but it was Sunday morning so peak time I guess.

Marmaris

Ordered few times mixed grill and burgers, pizzas, kebabs . Fast , food is fresh and tastes great. One time mixed grill was not quite as good ,but other times it has been spot on and very fresh and fast. Only take away we currently order as its always been spot on and can trust it to be nice food, except that one time, but all other times it's been perfect.

The Coppleridge Inn

Graham was a lifesaver, as I had booked into a nearby Airbnb lodge which I'd had to cancel, he welcomed me in and I was able to stay in one of the spacious rooms at the Coppleridge. The room had fantastic views overlooking the vale

The Shaftesbury Deli

Found this lovely deli near to the amazing Gold Hill. I have used it a few times for coffee and their incredible sausage rolls. The tiny tea room is indeed tiny, but delightful. The shop stocks some nice items and the ladies serving are very friendly and pleasant.

Reeve The Baker

Love the sausage rolls, they are the best ? love their sweet treats too. I don't visit shaftesbury very often but always pop in when I do. I just wish it would stay open till 5 pm rather than 4 pm week days

We ordered from here last Friday on the way home from a late lunch. Good pizza. Not fatty. Really tasty. Clean place to order from. Ready in less than 25minutes. Never had a problem here. Would recommend.

Fantastic place to stay x really welcoming and clean x all staff were super friendly and looked after us so well X the new lass behind the bar x Lisa I think she's called X made us laugh so much and Nigel the chef fed us really well X almost too well ???? but thankyou to you all for making our stay really lovely ❤️❤️❤️

I went in this morning and was greeted by the lovely Andrew and Leo. Andrew made me a lovely Dirty Chia with Oat milk to try as a recommendation and it was delicious. Thank you for the excellent customer service and Lovely drink.

The first time my partner and I had the pleasure of visiting this venue; aesthetically pleasing,with friendly staff, amazing food and an all round wonderful experience!!!

Thai Kitchen

When we arrived…it looked like to much effort to see us in to our table… took a long time between getting a first drink and ordering our starters and meals… no drinks menu.. when we asked about drinks…. We were told soft drinks and beers… we had to guess what they had ????Slow service… but food was very good and nicely put out….. All we needed was a human and not a robot….maybe because she was doing everything on her own….. it was to much… a smile to next time would be nice too..

Aroma

The food and the service was brilliant. Very quick to serve and the meals were brought out very efficiently. So many dishes that they could barely fit on our table of four. I had a Mango Lassi, Mugri Achari with Keema Rice, which was delicious. For those concerned with finding the restaurant, Or anyone who has accessibility issues the infrastructure in the area near the restaurant makes very accessible with a big car park. I enjoyed my meal greatly.

China cottage 4 bell street Shaftesbury

I've ordered food from China Cottage many times over the past few years since moving here from Hertfordshire and it is consistently the very best Chinese food we've had – my family all agree. Thank you China Cottage!

The Half Moon

5 adults on a Thursday night, very quiet so no long queues, food was excellent, I had the chilli burger and it was awesome, plenty of chips to go with it. I thought it was a bit pricey but that's the going rate, waitress was very cheerful, lovely young lady.. I have read the negative comments on here and have to say, all I can say is all our group have nothing but praise for the food and service

KFC Shaftsbury - Ivy Cross

Food- no complaints, every time I've been my food has always been hot and most other KFC's I've been too are really bad with that usually results in cold food. They're good with getting your order right, without missing items or a completely different order.

Service- I had no problems, I go through the drive thru, staff are kind, service with a smile.

Atmosphere- Like I've said I go through the drive thru but the times I have sat in I've had no problems at all.

Parking: There is limited spaces but It all depends on what time of the day you go that determines how many spaces there are. It's time restricted also.

Kid-friendliness: Seen plenty of families with their children there so I mean, yes it's kid friendly. I don't know what else to put about this subject.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, has doors you can open with the disabled button and has 2 disabled parking bays which are right by the door to kfc.

Subway

So much better than before. Obviously made some improvements. Service was a little slow as for some reason they only had 1 worker over lunch, but he was great. Atmosphere is difficult as it's such a small store - I wouldn't want to eat in. Food was good, but for some reason they just didn't have anything we wanted - some kind of stocking issue. Will rereview again shouldParking: There is parking but can be touchy and people park like loonies.
