The carvery was absolutely gorgeous. I'm coeliac, so gluten free, and they made me a separate gravy and yorkshire pudding so I didn't miss out. The staff were so helpful and friendly, even brought some toys out for my little one when he was getting upset. Would definitely visit again!

Dietary restrictions: They cater for a gluten free diet very well. Lots of options on the menu.

A wonderful pub with a good dining area to one side of the main bar, food really good, dog friendly, with a landlord who collects militaria so some very interesting things to look at, open fires and logburner in the winter, good outside covered seating area, where smoking is allowed, the male toilets are very clean with a quirky take on the urinals. Ample off road car parking

What a lovely outstanding beautiful establishment! We dined yesterday (16/02/25) and just wow! There was a mix up with the booking as we had our dogs with us BUT the staff were beyond outstanding! They managed to squeeze us in the bar area (the restaurant is no dogs which we can totally appreciate as not everyone wants to be around dogs whilst eating!) The service was amazing - they took our drinks orders promptly and let us all catch up and read the menu before taking our food orders. Was lovely not to feel rushed!! Between our party there was 3 roasts, 1 hunters chicken and two children’s meals. They were honestly outstanding! Coming out piping hot so you knew it was cooked to order! The children then had desserts and there was a confusion as they came out adults but should of been children HOWEVER……we took the surplus desserts home…….very happy children! The staff were so lovely! We have been many many moons ago before it was shut for a long time - but can honestly say -yesterday as visit was just so lovely! Staff lovely food splendid! We will be visiting again! We have recommended also!!!! Thank you to all the staff (including kitchen!) for making it a lovely meal out!!!!

Very laid back pub with a good balance between drinking and eating. We didn't eat on this occasion but the menu looked very enticing. Butcombe owned but a good mix of beers and ciders. Quite difficult to find out you don't know the route!

Decent food, excellent friendly service. Went here for group Sunday pub lunch following a walk. Food was cooked to a good standard and staff were very accommodating without being fussy. However the meal felt slightly on the pricey side (over £10 for most starters and £22± for most main courses) . Would otherwise be happy to recommend. Thank you

Always lovely to eat here but today it was exceptional. Not only were the staff so great , making us feel so welcome but the food was amazing! Sea bream out of this world. Turkey and ham for one of us really good too. The mincemeat and apple strudel was simply Christmas in a pudding. Well done to everyone involved making it so special xxxxx

Stayed here for 2 nights with family, had 4 rooms. Had an evening meal in the pub which was beautiful, plentiful and tasty. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms offer everything you need but they definitely need a bit of TLC.

Absolutely love the tea room cafe. Debs is a lovely lady that always puts the customers first. Lovely affordable food and great atmosphere. Not to mention the lovely Tracey that is next door in the pet shop. Very friendly for dogs and their humans. We love going there and it is very affordable. We are always made to feel welcome. Also there are items for sale that are all handmade. Lovely for gifts. Highly recommend.
