The Orangery Café
Bridwell Park, Uffculme, CullomptonNice cafe in the Orangery next to the Manor House. There is a good selection on the lunch menu. All the food was well presented and the coffee was very nice. There is plenty of seating indoors and on the patio. If you're not a member there is a £5 charge for the car but this includes a £2 token for the cafe. The grounds are extensive with a lake and there is a deer heard.

The Strand Stores
The Strand, CulmstockWe had 35 musicians in residence in Culmstock for four days and the Strand produced four different yummy lunches to keep everyone going during rehearsals. All beautifully presented, ready on time, catering for various diets and tasty.

Hitchcocks Business Park, WillandVisited yesterday for the first time. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Had a Black Forest milkshake which was lovely. Visited again today and the food again was excellent

The Culm Valley Inn
Riverside, Culmstock, CullomptonThe service was fantastic The staff were so friendly, I would have loved to eat there but the kids had been told pizza and it could have gone nuclear really fast.
So, Just propped in for a drink as I hadn't read the sign correctly. Pizza night was Monday/Tuesday not Wednesday. DOH my bad.
I enjoyed a pint of local cider while the dogs sat by my side (dog friendly pub ??) and the family drank up.
I do want to go back when I have the chance as the menu looks great.
I'm not going to give five stars as I didn't have the full experience this time and so it's not fair to other places I have ratted, I bet it would be the full five, maybe next time.

The Wyndham Arms
High St, Kentisbeare, CullomptonBeautiful village pub. Thank you for having us. Popped in mid walk to see if they were serving food later in the day as we were staying in the area. They served food until 8pm but was on a reduced menu due to change over which was perfect for us. When we returned it felt like we were greeted with open arms and great friendly service. We both had the chicken burger and it was amazing. Would recommend to anyone in the area for great service, food and beer. Also the dog if your lucky will appear and he's lush.

Grist Mill Cafe Bar
Coldharbour Mill, Coldharbour, Uffculme, CullomptonWhat a lovely, charming place to sit outside and have a brew. The café it's self isn't anything special but the staff are lovely and the grounds are beautiful. I was with my mother whom is in a wheelchair and we managed o.k. It's a bit of a funny dip into the café but we managed and the lady kindly bought the coffees out to us. Even the wooden bench had a cut out in the middle where my mother could fit in nicely and we felt more seated together. It's a very charming place to sit and watch the ducks on the water and have the swallows dart through the sky above. The outside is kept very tidy and the flowers and plants really make it special and it's nice to see some trees around. If you like the cottage garden feel then it's the place for you. We didn't go in and see the mill as such. We just popped in for a coffee but it was well worth the visit. Charming place, fee parking and the people are very friendly.
