The Thatched Tavern

This is a lovely pub near the village green.

Food and drinks: We had a Saturday dinner with drinks. We had the fish pie, burgers - these were home made and to a lovely standard.

This is just off the South West Coast Path. Tastefully decorated and great customer service. Recommend

Came here twice on a trip away with my family. Excellent service, the waiter was fantastic with my son. Had a gorgeous lasagne and pizza. Very lovely setting, will return next time I’m in the area!

The Hole In The Wall

I have been coming to this pub since 1988 and every year since from drinking coke as a kid to Jail Ale - please do not close! This is my favourite pub in the whole world

The Elephant Restaurant

Understated elegance decor. Staff were friendly and all wished us Happy Anniversary. They even gave us a card! The service was a bit slow. I only got my aperitif after my husband had finished his. After an hour we had only had one course. We were surprised that there was a charge of £12.50 for the amuse bouches that are normally included on a tasting menu. Bread was included. The pigs' checks and beef courses were not in the mouth. They accommodated changes in the menu for items we didn't eat. The courses were heavy on fish. We enjoyed all the food.

JUNJAOW THAI Restaurant

Great tasting food, great service, reasonably priced, and no feeling of being rushed to eat and leave, like some other establishments, JUNJAOW is definitely on my return to list

MEAT59 Torquay

Outstandingly good burgers- far nicer than anything you’ll find at GBK, Byron, Honest, Five Guys etc.
Perfectly cooked, great toppings, good range of sides and all at very reasonable prices. Yum.

Mr Cook Steak & Grill House

Group 8 us went there for the first time.. amazing food and friendly staff... You didn't have to wait long in-between course's.. strongly recommended and we will be back again..

Brilliant food and service. We could not eat all the food after having popadoms and starters as well a main each. But every bit of food was great, and the service was fantastic.

Smokey Joe's

Wow! Up there with or possibly the best steak I have ever had. The peppercorn sauce packed a punch. 100% will be returning. Also the best playlist to go with it.

Yates - Torquay

Went here to watch England game, great atmosphere, Fantastic security staff kept the rowdy idiots under control u always get the odd few, good size pub great staff good selection of drinks highly reccomend

The Orange Tree Restaurant

This restaurant is a little gem in Torquay. We were instantly welcomed and the service was excellent t throughout the whole of our night here. The menu has a delectable choice of local dishes, which made it hard to choose from! When we had finally decided, and the food was served, we were more than happy!! The food was absolutely delicious! My husband and I had an amazing night here, great food, good wine and service with a smile. Thank you!

The Belgrave Beefeater

Emily was friendly and attentive, she provided us with lovely service and left us laughing! Even gave a free cake to my Dad on his birthday :) Thank you for making our evening!

Rockfish - Torquay

Went in for some reasonably priced & tasty fish & chips, ended up with the more expensive but oh so very tasty mixed sea food grill, it was really nice and a treat, as we can't get it in our local fish & chip shop

Beacon Quay Torquay

Went here yesterday as we went to Torquay for the day. I ordered gammon, egg & chips and it was awful. My tomato was rock hard, onion rings were more like pork scratchings as they were well overcooked and the peas which I poured onto my plate from the pot was full of water so it destroyed my chips and made them all soggy. The pineapple that came with it was small little hoops so wasnt enough. won't be going here again. Also wasn't worth the money for the small portion it was.

Happy Chef

Happy Chef is the greatest Chinese Takeaway I have had. I ordered Duck fried rice and was greeted with a combination of succulent tender meats. The customer service is amazing and a really friendly environment. It was made very quickly and I was also given free prawn crackers. This place is the best Chinese Takeaway in Torquay.

Bay Spice Tandoori

Just had a fabulous meal in this restaurant, food and service was excellent,had to bring a doggy bag as there was so much food, definitely will return

HONG KITCHEN Chinese Takeaway

I haven't had a takeaway from here in ages. Pre-ordered on our way home for evening delivery. It arrived 5 minutes early. The food was well cooked and tasty. Not too salty, the sauces were good too, none of those over thickened gloopy ones you sometimes find. Enjoyed my meal.

Pizza Hut Delivery

Only ever collected as I'm out of the delivery area. You can park outside but it's usually busy so it can be hard to get a space. Other than that the staff have always been friendly.The food is usually good. Garlic bread is a bit hit and miss at times in terms of freshness and the Deep Pan pizzas are very oily but I guess that comes down to personal preference - that's just my opinion.I'd still get pizza from here :)Parking: On street parking but often busy.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly.

food is amazing, best it torquay, I recommend it chicken is always high quality and the sauces are gery aronoatic and flavourful, and are amazing, the naan breads are cooked fresh and are large too, a little pricy but the quality of ingredients speak to that, speed of delivery is impressive considering what I ordered too,

Prezzo Italian Restaurant Torquay

The restaurant is an old Lloyds bank and looks amazing inside. The service was great and the food excellent thank you Prezzo. The only issue is the narrow stairs to the toilets but an excellent meal

Never a problem with these guys always delivered by just eat but tonight over the phone direct. Always nice food and always delivered quickly. Thank you so much!

The best Chinese restaurant we have ever been to. First class quality food in quiet location of Torquay with handy car parking at premises. Limited opening days.

Greggs

Greggs is a chain, so churns out mass produced food for the masses! It's a convenient place to stop off, whilst fuelling the car or van. The baguettes are good, as are the doughnuts for a treat. Not good for you, but still tasty! The staff are always friendly and cheerful, despite relentless work!

Parking: At busy times, it can be tricky to park, use Google maps app to avoid the busiest times!

Gentleman out front (not sure if the owner) was brilliant and even offered to clean my 1 year old sons baby bowl after he had finished eating 10/10 for service. Food was great and reasonably priced for somewhere in central torquay. Will come again for sure

Kid-friendliness: Staff were brilliant with fetching a high chair for my son and even cleaning his baby bowl after our meal

Food's pretty good & it's nice to hand quick options & develop favourites. I just wish the app didn't suck; specifically the incessant login/verification process. For ease, just screenshot your rewards QR code & save in a Quick Links/reference folder.

Papa Johns Pizza

So happy it’s back open, customer service was speedy and the ladies behind the desk were energetic fun and made sure my order was perfect. Can’t wait to come again

Shiphay Chippy

Just had a haddock and chips at the end of the Bearded Theory Festival from these guys. I wish I had started my festival 4days with them and come back daily. Fantastic!! Just like fish and chips from the seaside.

Sainsbury's Café

Never had a bad experience here with the service or the atmosphere.
Food & coffee is usually really good. Nice priced meals and drinks.
Generally clean & tidy.
It is often busy whenever I have been but I've always managed to get a seat & table.

Dietary restrictions: Milk alternatives available.
Gluten Free options available but most times I go, the Gluten Free things have sold out or they haven't taken the bread out of the freezer.

Parking: Huge car park.
During busy times, there is a bit of traffic getting in and out due to the lay out.
Never had a problem finding a space.
Registration is read upon entry & exit.
Can't remember how many hours of free parking you get. 2 or 3 I think.

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly restaurant.

Subway

Ordered a chicken tikka sub and was served by a young man in glasses and a beard who was very polite and helpful. Food was pretty nice however the seating area was very dated and old, looks like it needs an update in there.

Domino's Pizza - Torquay

Great tasting pizza as you would expect from Dominos, but I ordered a cheese and tomato pizza and took over an hour, I know they where busy due to it being Xmas eve but they where putting deliveries before online and pick up in store orders which delayed things massively they should be made and cooked in order they come in.
